Police Sirens.
Sirens are installed onto squad-cars because they alert traffic that an emergency situation is taking place, when you hear a siren, please - pull over! Both incase you are being pulled over, or if they simply need to pass traffic in a hurry, the police rarely has a lot of time to answer 911 situations, so please, roleplay and do what real-life drivers do; pull over, slow down, I have requested this be a subject in the AV Driving School as well, it's really fustrating to flick your sirens on, but the driver infront refuses to pull over to allow you to pass!
Regards,
Senior Officer Hunter.

Speaking of AVDS - we do teach new players exactly the way you described.. ;)

Odd that 8/10 players I pull over complain they didn't hear a megaphone so they refused to pull over. Some people don't budge when they see sirens flying down a stree either. =|
:alert" = Out the way!

Actually, it is all about the how the cop himself drives too.
I've had accidents with several cops, both ARPD and non, because they think the sirens mean they can drive on the wrong side of the road, even though there is no traffic on the proper side. And the sirens are not an easy thing to see and/or hear for some people due to personal game settings or computer settings,

Well I admit i am one of the people described....
But.. I can explain why... Thats because i use skype or my itunes when i am playing because there is shit music and even worse FX in san andreas.... So i got all the sound down... I only got like 2 or 3 dots in options....
And this is what many people do... so who can blame them...
Hate or love me but this is how i think it is
Regards
Karl

Absolutely right! When I see cops on signal in front of me, I slow down and use horn like a maniac, because lots of cops thinks that with siren on (even when they are leaving LS to chase guy in SF) they can break ALL the rules and ramm ALL the cars on their way. wRONg!
BTW, yesterday I got rammed by 2 APRD Officers goin like 150km/h when I was goin very slow. I could die. But they've just continued the chase. No RP. What is more important? People's life or jailing criminal?

Same.. It seems that catching criminals has become more important than public safety.

Omg, same thing happened to me when i was going off LS-LV highway( one that goes through Red county) , at Mulholland Intersection, 2 ARPD cops just went on the intersect. with full speed and both of them rammed me in 5 seconds. When i asked them why they rammed me, they said they had sirens on.
Anyway, i don't think cops should think they are almighty when they got sirens on.

What if you play with no sounds on ? I play GTA without the sound turned on, so there is no way I can hear the sirens ... you should use megaphone.
-
As they are going more then 150km/h, if u don't want all your family to listen what happens on Argonath near you, you have not much time for reaction...
-
Police sirens mean GET THE FUCK OFF ROAD! cant hear sirens coz your sound is off? YOUR OWN FAULT

Blind? :D
But yea, Police with siren = worse drivers than the criminal they are chasing.
In RL, if there is a severe traffic jam and some criminal drives through fences and gardens to get away (or whatever), the police will let him go, they won't smash the cars out of the way and go through .

Deaf-Person,who cannot hear anything
Blind-Person,who cannot see anything

I also play with the sound off, not to disturb my family. This means that I almost never hear the sirens. If a cop asks me, I am deaf or was listening to loud music in the car. :D
IRL the use of sirens and light allows the cops to break traffic rules that they are otherwise bound by. However it does not allow them to endanger traffic. When crossing a red light, or when in traffic they have to be extra careful.

Blind Person, you :D. (Look at my quote).
Something official should be made for sirens, both to the public and to police forces. What to do in the case of sirens, and how to actually use sirens properly.
Also note that the secondary siren (synced as of R3) does actually have a real use (which is, I think, a Police Car passing another, slower, Police Car in the same pursuit).

I sometimes play with sound turned way down (my dad hates the SA radios and the stupid guns that people shoot around) so i just look at the chat box and drive around doing RP.
there should be a visual warning that cops with sirens on are around the corner, so i can pull into a parking lot, and the cops wont damage my nice car. (i hate when ppl ram, or jack, or punch your car) then, that way you can be safely on the sidewalk.
