Today i have tried to reinstall Windows XP Professional SP3........but when i,after reinstallation, firstly logged in,everything is unreadable, but still keeps space, and it Lags MUUUCH,+in Opera/Internet Explorer scrolling up down lags(scrolling/moving the tab is lagging, its making pain to my eyes ) :S,what to do ?  I want to fully reinstall Windows with removing files,or its impossible :O
-
if it lags one question... did u install drivers for grafic card? if not do so...
-
yep,and still, even in Desktop computer lags :S+ my computer is majorly junked,so i wanted to reinstall it with loss of data
-
I had this problem also... no idea how i fixed it tho...
It had to do something with my video card driver....
but that was on my old crap PC
-
The lagging scrolling has all to do with the graphic card, install the newest updates for it and it should be fine. ;)

Man people, its an offtopic :D,i need to reinstall windows with data loss....i read in Internet something about BIOS and partitions
-
i hate it when they go off topic as well.. so here is how u do it...
If u Definitly need files.. Flash drive/Burn them...
Just put the XP disc in the computer... (BTW Flash Drive SP3)
Restart it.. it should say, Boot off CD, press a button... press Any Key.. the Any Key is the Space bar..
it will boot nicely.. Follow the instructions, you Wanna format.. then put new XP copy on HD..kk.. shouldd be so easy my grandma can do it...
Another thing that might help is a second computer... Just to talk to me if it goes Shit house

It will ask, if you want to boot from CD only, if you have set the primary boot device to CD, if it is set to HDD it won't ask, even if you have entered Windows XP disc.
So,
1. If you have still old XP installed, put in Windows XP installation disc
2. restart your PC
3. while restarting, press "delete" button, to enter BIOS menu.
4. There, set primary booting device to your CD/DVD reader
5. exit BIOS menu with saved changes.
6. now, when the PC is loading up it should say " To boot from CD press anykey" , then press anykey.
7. then you enter the Windows installation menu and start following the instructions from there.
8. in the menu, delete old partitions and make new ones.
9. when you have choosed, how many partitions you want, install windows, then it asks you on what format you want to do (NTFS or FAT), choose NTFS.
That should be quite it.
-
3. while restarting, press "delete" button, to enter BIOS menu.
The key varies depending on the motherboard or BIOS manufacturer, but most likely it is "Del","F1", "F2" or "F10". Usually the BIOS setup entrance key is displayed on the screen when the computer starts up.
I would personally advise to update the BIOS version to the latest one before reinstalling Windows, to minimize the possible hardware issues and get rid of bugs in BIOS. With modern motherboards the BIOS update can be done from Windows, but with older ones you need to do it a bit harder way using a floppy disk.

That would be DoS, not DDoS :D
DDoS = Distributed Denial of Service, used to take down websites, servers etc ;)
Ontopic: Good luck with your install and I hope it works this time :)

That's what I do.
It asks me if I want to Format the HDD and it does it in about 1/2 a second.
