Title: speeding tickets
Post by: solidje on August 12, 2008, 06:06:02 am
Dexter had a good idea about the speeders..
And it's more RPG, cops do it in real life too..

So when somebody is speeding let him/here pay a fine of 50$
If the don't wanna pay, then you can !sus them.
this will make our RPG more realistic.

If we see a cop/swat suspect someone for speeding, without asking to pay a fine first
we are gonne use our !uncrime command

I hope we will get scripts for this in the future
Like  !giveticket nickname    !payticket    !refuse

And we hope you all like this idea??

greets
TeaM_Solidje

p.s: sorry for my bad english  :D

Well i think that atht is a very good idea, it does make the RPG seem more realistic. I mean come on, look in real life, what Cop would fill a crimnal full of holes for speeding. This is a very unique idea, good job Solidje And Dexter.

:ps: You're English is not that bad Solidje.

its added to MTA:VC so yes I agree. :)

i think this idea was implemented in mta to avoid typos while driving...
it gets really annoying when you are typing things like pullover, issuing a ticket... and the next thing you find out is that your car drops in water.
its always hard to type when driving, so commands make it easy.

the only limitation i find in this idea is that the speeder doesnt have a 3rd way out, i mean.....

cop: !giveticket <speeder>
now the speeder has 2 options-accept or refuse,
that is either he loses cash or he gets suspected, no 3rd way out
he cant give an explanation.
suppose maybe he was not speeding, suppose maybe he had a reason of speeding, suppose the cop is a money-cheater who suspects plyrs for no reason.

i liked the !pullover command, where you could ask him to pullover, abandon driving and talk to the speeder about reason, ticket, bribe, suspect or anything you want.

Very VERY good idea but it can be abused by rulebreakers.. It would be very useful because like dad said
and the next thing you find out is that your car drops in water.
But you can always stop and then write or...?  :trust:

Edit: Doesn't this one mean the same thing? http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=18176.0 (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=18176.0)

Exactly

Anyway I think this is a good idea.
Although in till this is scripted (which won't be in till the release of the update)
I think suspecting for speeding should be aloud
Say your just driving down and a person speeds past you, its ok to suspect them for speeding after you checked there speed
But its not ok if you just spawn and go through everyone checking there speed and suspect anyone speeding.
Because you have to see it happen, just like in real life

Kessu, remember. Command abuse is not allowed so the players get punished and learns about command abuse. In that case there is less abuse then before. And then admins should be allowed to !unticket the player if its abused.

Agree with that 100% that just wasn't in that command list :D

Well in that case you have no chance to pay ticket for speeding...Ofc you can do !bribe but that will cost like 500, which is too much i think

100% agree with Dexter.. 500 for speeding.. WAY TOO MUCH... it should be MAX. 200$

This is an awesome idea. and I think the cost should be between 50-200.

A cop gets 500 for killing a sus

bribe amount is usually higher than a cop's salary in real life
Title: Re: speeding tickets
Post by: Klaus on August 13, 2008, 04:54:43 pm
The lowest bribe is $1000

Or Maybe The Faster The Speed the Higher the Ticket

like !Ticket1 <nick> if They Just Go Over The Limit 50 $
!ticket2 <nick> If Like 50mph Or Something Over 150 $
!ticket3 <nick> If they Are Going extremly fast lyk 250mph 300$

I like this idea.
Auto-Calculation of ticket amount, it will check the speed of the person at the instance of !ticket command

Good thinking guys, this is a wonderful idea, it could work too and it would stop the issue of Cops killing Suspects for speeding.

This is what I like very much :D It would bring you some  :money: for speeding :D but 250 mp/h? I think that only PCJ will go that fast..
Title: Re: speeding tickets
Post by: Hellrocker on August 15, 2008, 06:09:31 pm
Not bad idea, depending on how fast you where going depends on the price. And Kessu I think all bikes can gothat fast, except the Faggio. You just need to lean forward on the bike.
Title: Re: speeding tickets
Post by: Kessu on August 15, 2008, 07:01:17 pm
I know that leaning.. It is (my mind) glitch what can give you advantage to another player.. So I won't use it expect if another guy uses it too

Mr.Dad's idea is better

Im agree with this topic of giving speeding tickets, but there should be exceptions like ambulance :P
In real life ambulance can go fast if its an emergency xD :hit:
Title: Re: speeding tickets
Post by: solidje on August 22, 2008, 07:01:56 pm
police cars and ambulance don't need to pay a ticket..
IF the siren is on and the have an emergency!  :D

*siren is not really necessary*
I forget to turn it on most off the time  :D

If you see someone speeding, ask him to pullover. Then offer fine to him. If he won't pay sus. DO NOT sus for speeding without offering ticket.
There is good script in MTA:VC to this too :)

Cops can't think like a criminal. Criminals want to steal and do bad things and get a way with it. Cops stop them, what do you think your doing. You gonna out run a police man. Eventually they'll get ya.
