Title: Auctions
Post by: Gandalf on August 29, 2008, 03:11:19 pm
Do you want to sell your house, your car, your business to the highest bidder ?
Then now you can do it by the SMFBuy Auction.

Please note the following rules:
- Auctions are only for in-game items, we do not accept real-world auctions at this time.
- Place the auction in the correct server area.
- Note that the tool is in development, check the bidding history for possible bugs.
- If you make a bid on an auction and are the winner you are obliged to buy. If you do not have the money, do not make a bid.
- If you put an object for auction, you are obliged to sell if it reaches the 'reserve price'.

Good point.

I think however, that they should be able to remove the bid (In the same way they can remove posts, ect) ;)...

Or maybe give Acess right to Argonath Forum citizen (with passport) , then they can enter the auction Boards.

It's bugged. If a start price/buyitnow exeeds 100k, it shows them on the auction such as 9999999.99.

The SMFBUY is a very good idea actually for Argonath RPG, as it makes hte gmae more complex and even develops a new version of GTA, but if they are going to have this feature, they might as well make sure it works, otherwise it takes up unnecessary domain memory and of course, time!

If something is bugge it would be nice to get a bug report.

Something like this should also be made in the City Hall sections to make it more clear about the guidelines.

From a court case I noticed two things that (in my eyes) should be in the rules list:
Rules dosnt say i have to sell car to first bidder who bided buyout price.
Please add for this one:
Code: [Select]
- The one to sell an object, is obliged to sell to the first one who uses the 'reserve price'.
And please also add:
Code: [Select]
- Only bids on the forum count. (MSN or ingame don't NOT count as proof for a courtcase.) Either the seller or the buyer should tell the bid in the auction topic.

These are suggestions, and I do not force you to put them. I am just asking politely

PS. If they are added, they could be adjusted to fit more to the other rules.

RaSgO...
Naaaaa

Try this

Quote
- The one to sell an object, is obliged to sell the item after the 'reserve price'(Buyout) has been met.

Hows that

Please add for this one:

It's already there and the only difference I see with yours is that you're stating that it's for the first person, but that's obvious, otherwise it defies the purpose of if it being a reserve price.

- If you put an object for auction, you are obliged to sell if it reaches the 'reserve price'.

Furthermore, if you're referring to your court case, the issue was regard to your second suggestion, which I don't see a problem with adding (though the wording could be improved).

And please also add:
Code: [Select]
- Only bids on the forum count. (MSN or ingame don't NOT count as proof for a courtcase.) Either the seller or the buyer should tell the bid in the auction topic.

Yeah I know, now I read it I see it fails... anyways, adjust how you like :D
