Ok in an effort to actually do something constructive with this distraction...
I make this topic...
So if you have any questions regarding any topics and are not studying at an age higher than around 17 ( :redface: )
Ask them here, I will do my best for a swift reply and clear answer. Although, be a little patient! I have my own work to do to! Also, if it is something I do not know, there is likely to be someone reading this topic that does!
Also, do not be lazy and post your whole homework. From my experience, if you do not understand and you just copy- it will bite you in the ass when you move into further education. Just post anything your stuck on, or ask anything that is unclear and I will try and explain.

I believe that there was a similiar topic to this some time ago? :) Anyway, i will also be glad to help if im able to :D

xy*30467+x6785y419=?
-
xy*30467+x6785y419 = xy*30467+x6785y419
You can't cancel out an equation with a seperate unknown value, in this case "?" (though technically it should be "z").
Also, your notation is all wrong - you wouldn't use a ' * ' in an algebraic equation, plus the second thing - 'x6785y419' isn't actually a correct number. Perhaps you meant '(6785x) * (419y)'
Or, perhaps that wasn't a real question? :D

my calculations came up with answer that question maker is retard. Hope that helped. Cheers.

Yeah there was one :) but I preferred to make a new one!
xy*30467+x6785y419=?
xy*30467+x6785y419= (simplifies to)
30467xy+6785419xy= 6815886xy
(it doesn't matter where the x and y values are, they are still x*y*number - I just switched around the values so it can be seen more clearly)
Also remember guys, do not expect people to understand so easily. The question above is a good question for introducing algebra, if it is a real question!
-
oh right. Thanks
-
Ah yea but it does matter where the x and y are, because he could easily be doing '(6785x) * (419y)' rather than '(6785419) * (xy)', which obviously gives a different answer.
Good answer to a ridiculous question, I guess. :)

Yeah I see what you mean :)
If you post question- make sure it is complete ! :lol:

Triangle's area is 54cm2. Triangle's base reduced 2 times and height increased 3 times. How much is now triangle's base?
:ps: Not the best in English!

If you didn't mean area then that question is pretty ridiculous. The base and height can take different values and choosing an appropriate corresponding value for the other variable will give you an area of 54cm2. So it's like saying, I have x, I divide x by 2, what is the new x? = =
A1=0.5*b*h=54
A2=0.5*b*h*0.5*3=54*0.5*3=81
New area is 81cm2

Running is never the answer to problems ;)
Even though Argonath causes procrastination and provides an "alternative world" in which to escape to, effectively running from the real world to entertain. Which makes the comment above quite hypocritical in the sense that it is written on this forum.
