314 is service is unavalible or ur firewall is blocking msn, just wait for it, i tried all posible solutions, if u wanna try it out fix for error 314 is:
hold win key + r or go to start>run
type
regsvr32 Softpub.dll Mssip32.dll Initpki.dll first two are done fast last one takes about min to 5 mins, when its finished, restart msn

MSN updates are full of shit, I never upgrade to a "Plus" as it just f**ks up your comp and gives you soo much shit you dont need.
-
It works now guys..

Yeah, I had the same problem.
I did EVERYTHING I thought of, but it wouldn't let me sign in. Then I found out others have this problem and it got fixed.
I de-installed Windows Live Plus and installed the normal one. :)
-
Thanks, it works for me now.
-
I had that too.
Everything was caused by a downtime of the MSN USA server, which affected MSN users from the entire world.
Otherwords, USA server down - no MSN services working.
It has been fixed already for now, so chill out.
Pssst... There goes a quote of the news I read, it is in Portuguese, and I translated it to English.
The computer software company Microsoft confirmed in the evening of Thursday (11) that the failure that affected Windows Live Messenger (or MSN Messenger) was caused by "problems of hardware." The company said that the obstacles have been solved.
"Yesterday and today morning, Microsoft has filed two interruptions affecting a small portion of users of Windows Live Messenger, caused by hardware problems," reported in note, the general manager of Microsoft's Windows Brazil, Priscyla Alves. Thousands of Internet users protested against the pane in various parts of the world.
The executive also called "regret any inconvenience." The cause of failure was specifically on the servers of a maintenance company in the United States, according to the technical assistance of the company in Brazil.
According to the Ibope / NetRatings this year, in Brazil MSN is used by 74% of active residential Internet users, or about 17.1 million people per month. The length of stay per user has been keeping up four hours monthly.
In February, a "blackout" similar to that worried thousands of users of MSN the country. They received the following message when trying to connect: "Failed to enter Windows Live Messenger. The service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."
