Hey lads..
I would like to note first, that this is not place for flames and big arguments, just because I am curious if in other countries there all tight laws and they are well enforced.
I will start with my county - Bulgaria.
Here, we have not lots of laws. Only the regular ones - no stealing, no killing etc.
There are no laws such as no smoking in buildings or in public, no drinking in public etc. You can drink and smoke in the street, even if police officer is next to you, he will not tell you anything, exept if you don't hit him on the head with the bottle or throw your cigarette at him.
We have not much laws, but police is indeed trying to do their best to make streets more clean.
Corruption is still a problem tho... EX: If you beat the s**t out of someone and then a police officer catches you, you may bribe him or make somekinda deal (not with all officers, but with most) ... 30 euro shall be more than enough (60 leva in our currency) for you to get out without trouble.
We do also have one of those 'secret' services and they are INDEED kept in secret. Only a few people in country (selected ones) know details and stuff about our secret services. I, myself, don't even know the name of it, but I know it exists (seen their cars .. black ranchers, you know). I think they are doing a good job if they managed to keep in secret in such corrupted country.
This is almost all about my country's laws and law enforcements .. What about yours?
Please guys, don't turn this in somekinda flame argument topic, I don't want it locked...

Here in Brazil happens same... If you are rich and get arrested, even for killing people, if you get cash, you can easily bribe the authorities and get out of trouble. The politics are also uber-corrupt. We got tons of laws, but most of them keep only in the paper - They aren't followed. Most big criminals from other countries find Brazil as a paradise to hide.
We have a lot of social and environment problems, and the governors don't give a damn about it... :(
-
My favourite law in Britain is that a Pregnant Woman is allowed to piss in a policeman's hat
-
In Germany we have tons of laws and actually, all of them are getting enforced.
-
All i can say is that dutch cops are fast.
Took them 3min or something.
They are big fuckers tho, once they got you they never leave you alone for the next 2 years.
-
Sweden got ALOT of laws, but they arent very well enforced..
I mean, here in Dalarna we live our own life with like 2 cops for 50 thousand habitants..
Uhh.. Yeah..
-
In UK you can't do shit because of laws, but still the police are shit, well they are in my city.
-
In Russia there are TONS of laws as well... But there are many ways to solve problems without meeting the police...
Friends, money, deals...
The main Law which is really important - earned money yourself, let others earn their share as well... If you will brake this "Law", many things can happen...
This Law is between friends, between russian mafia, between politics, between businessmen...
If you understand this "Law" and keep to it - you will get respect and friends who can solve your problems...

Uhh.. Yeah..
Agreed, but once they get you, you can't really bribe your way out of it...
Talking from experiance.

Does your country have a lot of laws?
Yes
Are they well enforced?
No
-
US got some punk ass laws, can't smoke/possess/sell weed. Sucks.
-
here in libya where i live in and the country im not from the libyan cops never stop you you could got 200000km/ph and they wont stop you. and the lines on the road people dont follow them people go on them lol. and there are no traffic signs like the speed limit and etc. alot of accidents happen here.
-
well we in Australia have this law that all clubs lock up at 2AM so that nobody can enter, the people in the club can exit but cant get back in any other club. i reckon thats a pretty stupid law. :S
-
we have heaps of laws..they made it a law last year that you HAVE to have a fire alarm in your house, or you could get fined if a cop comes in your house for any reason...
and most of our laws are pretty well enforced..get caught by a speed camera, in the next week, you get a fine at your doorstep, etc.
-
I dont know if my country has a load of laws, but its HORRIBLY enforced.
Robberies EVERY DAY. ALWAYS. And most of those bastards escape. :flame:
EDIT: forgot the H in "has"
-
Around my area there are many drug deals, sometimes people even get shot. All drug related though.
- Police are never there.
- Police suck.
-

Not in my city... Can't get away with anything... Unless you ride a bike that is, then you can break all kinds of laws.
-
I guess its well enforced here!
-
Does your country have a lot of laws?
Probably.
Are they well enforced?
I don't think so.
I mean, here in Dalarna we live our own life with like 2 cops for 50 thousand habitants..
Uhh.. Yeah..
Yes, around here you are lucky if you spot a copper. I saw a cop once, back in -02 driving past our school. I was so happy when I came home so I couldn't sleep
-
My country has a lot of laws, but its the same as there is not any law, which means they re not well enforced. Also i can spot a lot of corruption, conflict of interests and more bad things..But i dont wanna be total pesimist because i see some improvements and i hope it will be more better in the future..
-
USA:
Yeah we have a lot of laws. Some of them are stupid, some of them are meant to protect us but don't, but most are good. Are they well enforced? Well in my town, our cops enforce them too much. And no, there is no bribing our cops lol. I feel sorry for UK though with no gun laws and not even the cops can carry guns. That is one thing that I like about my country is that it is in our constitution to be able to own guns. It is kind of dumb though because the democratic party in the USA claims that it is a community right rather than an individual right, meaning that the cops can but the individual person can't. I believe it was an individual one though when it was created.

can't get away with shit here. police enforce there laws especially in London...if you're seen walking around in a group of 3 past 9pm and you're teenagers they have a right to question you. it was 3pm afternoon i was standing in the streets with 3 friends waiting for someone, and a guy came out of his house with a police badge saying "what are you doing here?" and stuff, i walked over to him like "what's the problem officer" haha, and was like "we're waiting for a friend, we have the right to stand in the STREET if we like" man what a nob. if you go on youtube and search something like "britain cop watch" or something you'll see they let you off on nothing, it's always on TV.

I saw a cop yesterday and I was liek, Hallo thar, and he was like hallo, and I was liek, bai, and we both laughed and walked away.

In my country we have this stupid laws like: cant smoke on bus stations, some cities have a law that they cant even drink on public...I live in a village and nobody gives a fuck here. They smoke and drink whenever they like, whereever they want. we can see a police vehicle here like 1 vehicle per month. The cities are being watched better when there is something going on like some band is there, then there is a hole sh*thole of cops. Normal day, normal security. Cops, are like when something happens and there is this BIG guy, muscly and shit they will let him go, but if there is a smaller guy they will start to bother him with a fine or something. Example: my brother had a car accident, he said to the cop that he didnt see it. They cop said he will take his license. My brother said that maybe he can pay a fine but the cop just took it. who knows maybe if he was a BIG guy, then he could just pay the fine. Corruption? Of course there is.

Agreed, we have a shitload of laws here in Holland and they're all well enforced. Guess I should be happy about that, no? :D

Only 18+ Can buy Cigarettes
16+ Can buy alchohol
16 for a moped license
18+ Drivers license
The most common rules I guess ^^
-
Well, in Germany most of the rule are enforced, because there are shitloads of cops running arround, just waiting for you to make a mistake and fuck you up.
So I think the cops of my country should get the fuck off :D
In Poland its like....I do what I want, fuck what the others say.
-
Lithuania: Alcohol 18+
USA: Alcohol 21+
Lithuania: Moped license 15+ (?)
USA: Moped license 14-16 (depending on state)

Getting tobacco products is easy as hell here if you're underaged, always know somebody who can get it, I don't really smoke often, I like black and milds and shit, and buy blunts for rollin' that weed.
-
it's easy to get alcohol here and cigarettes underage. been getting served since i was like 14 lol
-
Yeah 21 to buy alcohol, 18 to buy tobacco, 15 to drive car WITH parent accompanying you, 16 to drive by yourself, 21 to get into clubs with alcohol. Those are the laws here. About the moped thing: If the moped is under 55 cc, you can drive it with just a driver's license. Otherwise, you need to have a motorcycle permit or license.
-
Recently in the state of Georgia, USA, where I live - They were discussing about making a law where you can get fined for wearing your pants down so you underwear shows. I don't think they passed that law though.
