Title: Forced to Leave argonath, saying goodbye

Never tought i would post this... I always hoped it could be fixed but it didnt..

In February 2008, my bro passed his computer to me, not bad, not new, Was kinda slow cuz low amount of RAM, i upgraded the thingy with a nice 1GB of RAM, Installed a new XP on it, gave it a DVD ROM and 2 more Hdd's ... Also it didnt had a graphics card, so i took one wich we had here, from another pc, model Radeon 9600SE 256MB ... from in the beginning it always gave blackscreens after  a 50 - 30 minutes ingame, didnt matter wich game, installed several drivers, recent drivers, drivers from the CD included.. Nothing solved it..  Until i found a simple driver, downloaded it and it allowed me to play a week without blackscreens before it gave up.. So i had to uninstall, reinstall and blabla... Now it suddenly doesnt work, i get blackscreens out of game, when i just got on windows ... With other words when i go ingame i end up at blackscreen in 1 minute after a logged in...
This means that i'm forced out of argonath ingame, since there is no such thing as staying ingame for 1 minute, and boot for 5 more minutes..

Don't tell me to buy another PC, or graphics card, I have AGP and money for an upgrade is far away.. (€400 needed)
So until then, i say goodbye ... hope i can fix it once again, but i don't think so... I think games over here, and my thanks to everybody who was on argonathrpg..... I will miss you guys, you were the ones that made me join argonath for over 7 months... Thanks for that..  :)

I had simmilar problems with ati 9550 gamer edition, it is just old and getting tired, but dont worry, there are still agp cards.... atm i have nvidia 6200,and i just ordered nvidia 7600gt(7600 beeing the last model with agp=most powerfullagp card), im paying 80 eur for it and i belive it  can be found cheeper too...

Good luck with ur PC problems and hope u will find a cheap and easy way to solve ur problem fast so we can see u ingame  :)

This is pretty shit, but it'll get solved soon I hope ;)

Also, have you checked if your power supply is enough for the new videocard, new ram and the 2 HDD's?

It's sad such things happen Clyde, but this is life...
I hope you can get a new card and fix the thing, goodluck in fixing that issue.
