Title: "Clipping"
Post by: Link9rly on October 12, 2008, 11:26:25 pm
Ok. So you guys should know what clipping is. It's what you hear when you transmit something over the DB Limit (speakers sound CRRRRRCKCK) which is 0 DBs. So, for the best transmission results set your output volume to 80. If you transmitt over stereo mix set stereo mix to 80. All of the things that are gonna be transmitted should be set to 80. If you go by DBs make sure it doesn't pass 0 DBs. If you have any VU meter programs, or Audacity use those. Posted is a picturecomparrison of a song that clips and a song then lowered so it doesn't clip.
