Title: Huge problem. Graficcards problems (read on)
Post by: Gird3r on October 31, 2008, 03:58:56 pm
I had recently buied myself an Forsa Geforce 9500 gt. And I got some problems.

I have an intregated Intel G33/G31 Express chipset family, and it works like normal.

However, when I put in my New graphic card, The screen is black, It dosen't respond to anything, just like if you were in Sleep mode. The computer however is running fine, I tried to put the (vga) cable for the screen on both the old Interigated vga output and the New graphic cards output. However no one of them made the screen respond and start up.

But as soon I remove the New graphic card the interigated's vga output responds and the screen starts up.

My manual suggsested trying to install the drivers before trying to use the new card, so I tried to do that. However the setup driver software I got on the cd says there's no hardware that the drivers could be used for (something like that) and decides to terminayte the wizard. (it actually said that the software coulnd't find any compiatble drivers with the hardweare installed atm.)

How i'm supposed to install the drivers when the new Graphic card makes it impossible to see anything on the screen?

I'm very thankfull for a response.

And yes, I checked the card so It would fit as it should, and checked if there was any extra power outlet's on the card.

WHat i'm supposed to do?

Some thing you can try... I have never had this problem but you might try them...

Uninstall all drivers from the old card...

Then insert new card and it might work...

Or look on the internet for the newest driver available and install that one (www.nvidia.com if its a nvidia card)

see if that works...

Well, put the card in it but set the integrated card on primary (if you can have them both in) and then install drivers if that works..

Or just memorize how to install a driver with a black screen ...
