My mouse broke, so I got a new one and it has two buttons on the left, which go Back and Forward in Firefox.
This is incredibly annoying, how do I turn it off?
The mouse doesn't have any disc or anything, its just a Dell Plug & Play USB.
Anyone?

go to control panel, click on the mouse button and see if you can disable it there.
If control panel doesnt show any mouse, but only a few categories, make sure to turn classic view on
-
No, nothing under any of the Tabs under Mouse. :(
-
Remove the buttons from the mouse :D
-
Well you can try opening the mouse, and cut the wires at the buttons, or then you can just try to not press them ;)
-
o_O
I'm not gonna rip the mouse to pieces, I'm buying another one (with no buttons) soon anyway.
or then you can just try to not press them ;)
I have OCD, and keep pressing them (and other random keyboard buttons) so that isn't really an option.
-
why remove?? i have point of view mouse with 4 buttons at side and i love em:p

Its retarded, I keep twitching and pressing the button, making me go back (or forward) which is annoying.
-
only thing left to do is google for some sort of drivers, and hope they have "disable" functions...
-
I dont think its possible, well, atleast your buying a new mouse soon
-
are you sure theres nothing you can change in mouse properties? :trust: i can assign any button any job i want it to do under mouse properties in control panel..
i wouldnt suggest u to remove them though, u will get used to them and they will make it easier for you ;) i kinda hated them at start too but now i cant imagine using internet without them, lol.
