Need for Speed Undercover has players racing through speedways, dodging cops and chasing rivals as they go deep undercover to take down an International crime syndicate. The new game heralds the return of high-intensity police chases and introduces the all-new ‘Heroic Driving Engine’ -- a unique technology that generates incredible high-performance moves at 180 miles per hour during breathtaking highway battles.

A mix of stunning computer graphics and live-action movies will immerse gamers in the rich world of the Tri-City Bay Area. The city’s open-world environment features over 80 miles of roads, including an enormous highway system that sets the stage for heart-pounding highway battles. These high-speed, high-stake chase sequences will push players to the limit as they fight off cops and opponents while whipping through traffic at 180 miles per hour.

An intelligent new A.I. mechanic delivers a realistic and high-energy action driving experience. Going back to the franchise’s roots, Need for Speed Undercover features more aggressive and intelligent cops whose sole purpose is to take down the player quickly and by any means necessary. Need for Speed Undercover also features the series’ signature car customization, real-world damage and realistic driving physics. The game includes some of the hottest licensed cars such as the Audi R8, BMW M6 and Lexus IS-F.

I got it 4 days ago and imo it's a shitty game...NFS U2 and NFS MW were the best NFS's.

Undercover pwns Pro Street :D

It also pwns Carbon :D

i dont know nothing about this series as i havent played it at all..
well on my opinion as i see on what you say and the pics - story - videos i think - the game isa bit non realistic

for pro street - havent played it 2, only for about 30 mins at my friends house... And my first impression was like OMFG ITS AWSOME !!!
Even if i missed the illegal street races - but the ones that pro street had to offer were looking great and realistic - but i had to admit the drift even if it was looking realistic wannabe - you cant drift with a car like that - its imposible to do it so clear. But the other races were cool. - even if i didnt try the desert sprint race.

For carbon it sucks a bit ! Even if on that time i didnt really care much about phisics and stuff... But the Drift was childish, car rolling like on WAX bu with some abbility to never slip off - but the most lol thing is drift with a firetruck  . the styling of the cars were cool, the cars were to also cool - enjoyed tuning them.

Most Wanted - awesome races, and the careen mod is long - the black list is cool :hurray:
Underground 2 - awesome - races, styling, unlocking new parts of the city cant stop on doing it !
Underground 1 - LEGEND

Is it any good?

IMO underground 1 is the best NFS game. Aftet that comes Most wanted and Pro street who I think was not so bad (it got some nice american muscle. Drag ftw )

IGN rated it an 5.0...

And if I see the video review, I can quite understand it, well... I will not buy it, I also saw the Gametrailers.com review, and they were an little happier then IGN, an 6.8 orso, but still does not afford me to buy it.

lol this vid ^^ owns!

I own and have played all NFS's ever made, from the 1st ones to NFS underground, underground 2, most wanted, carbon, and pro street, but exept for undercover, the last NFS's are waste of money.
NFS UG2 was the best one for me.

a FABULOUS experience on three different consoles
-PSP
-360
-wii

BDK's reviews
PSP
-----
quite well done
graphics - similar to MW and U2
gameplay - nice, but quite easy to finish the game
races - not as good, but quite competitive

360
-----
really fantastic
graphics - ABSOLUTLEY FABULOUS!!
gameplay - nice, good, but too many cops(well the more the bettter :P)
races - too easy, the PSP is more difficult than this
sound - turn the volume up for the best experience!!!

wii
-----
not as good as 360 but betta in someways than the PSP
graphics - not good, but its liveable
gameplay - TOTALLY utter disgusting, the streets end up having to load at tyms
races - during circuits u experience several problems with the loading of streets

you dont need to take my word for it, but thats how i expreienced it
overall i would rather play on the 360!

PSP - took 7 days to complete
360 - took 2 days
wii - didnt complete, got tired of streets loading etc...(but it seems quite easy, cuda tooken 1.5 days?)
