I only played one MMORPG and it was Lord of the rings online and thats because i seen tonys topic. I must admit it was pretty good but because of studying for exams i stopped playing at level 42, i even pre-ordered the mines of moria special edition but haven't even opened it so hopefully i will in the summer.

Anyways if i wasn't studying i probably would not play WoW basically for two reasons 1. It has too catoony graphics - I hate that and 2. I heard the people that play are really immature and that half are kids whereas in lotro it's hard to find a player who isn't friendly and not immature.

I gotta agree with you there.
LOTRO has a very nice and friendly community, specialy the EN-RP server.
The reason why i prefer WoW or LOTRO online is because WoW is the most suported and updated MMORPG of all.
Specialy the world wide PvP is nice.
LOTRO ye... i just missed the LOTR feeling there, i wanna go to Mordor and pwn some orc's.. not run around in Bree-land.
Also to lack of real LOTR music pissed me off, i think music is very inportant in a game.

I started WoW on Friday, hit level 30 yesterday morning.
So I can post here now? ;)

I definitely like the Rogues.. I play Undead Rogue on Chamber of Aspects.
CoA is pretty good, only thing is that there are like no people at any areas aimed at levels lower than about 40.

I only saw about 2 people at the starting area (over a couple hours), whereas starting a character on Kilrogg I saw about 5 right as I spawned.

Dunno, without noobs an MMO just isn't right.
But if you hate them, CoA is the way to go. :)

Level 76 Warrior here :P

Agamaggan Realm

Name: Omid

Love the game...new expansion is FANTASTIC

Post by: Oliver on December 13, 2008, 09:59:44 pm
WoW got boring because of the "noobs" on the battlegrounds and the killstealing level 70-80s.
LOTRO on the other hand has a nice community.

Post by: MrsSvensson on December 13, 2008, 11:47:07 pm
The new expansion is awesome, myself have a 72 mage and a lvl 80 death knight, both are gnomes, aren't they just too cool?!
But I gotta say, I always come up in the highest lvl too fast and when I'm there I getting easily bored...
The new raids are too good to be true, too sad no epics yet for me..
The new expansion is awesome, nothing more to say about it from my view  ;)

Realm: Eonar (EU)

Title: Re: World of Warcraft
Post by: Pandalink on December 15, 2008, 03:29:26 pm
Probably level 90 or something ;).

I'm not bothered with levelling fast tbh. I made level 30 in a single weekend, then 42 in a week after that (inc. a level 20 alt). That works fine for me.

The realm I'm on (Chamber of Aspects) hardly has any new players on it, since they only opened character creation on Wednesday of last week.

Sounds good, I'm in if more people from Argonath want to join the same server and be on the same faction  :)
I've heard that Mazrigos (PVP EU - server) is nice from my friend MrSvensson who plays there as horde..

Well, the good point is when you reach level 80 and are able to do all the different dungeons and get as good gear as possible.

Mazrigos got to low population..

O-O

Personally I'd rather be able to level happily with mobs then allow other people to gank me all the time.
I like the odd duel or battleground, but I'm not a fan of PvP.

Hey, its not as if I have a high level character though .

In the new patch, you can create one DK per realm, as long as you have a level 55 anywhere at all. Hence, you're able to enter any realm at Level 55.

This also means more Death Knights. :(

Oh, and Xfire is pretty good for these..

Post by: David_Omid on January 12, 2009, 12:43:55 am
Level 80 was fun but I am now getting bored of it...

Not many groups want me as tank for heroics as my def rating is slightly low (502 and I need like 540 for uncrittable), and also...it's getting boring doing the same old heroics constantly, wiping all the time...just makes me prefer SAMP.

Now as EVERY WoW player knows, there are times where you are hooked, and times you don't like the game any more...well this is just one of those times where I don't like the game any more and come April or so, I'll be thinking "man I miss that game" and I'll go back to it!

So until that day, sticking to SAMP only! Good luck guys with getting to 80...and getting T7! I only have the 25M legs...so I wish you all luck that you get more than I did!

i might play it, if it is paying for 1 time,
you need to pay every month again for it,
and can only play for free for 1 month,
thats why i played runescape instead of this,
although i dont play any of them now.

you must be crazy to pay every month for it,
just not worth it

Bullshit, you probably spend even more then it costs to play wow on games, and random shit you don't need.
Wow costs like 100 euros every year, wich is nothing compared to what a (for example) PS3 + games cost.

You sir, are the one who's crazy.

but WoW gotta be paid every month/year,

and things like WoW and runescape gets boring fast

WoW gets updated all the time, and expansion packs are added... it is made so it doesn't get boring... (although it does sometimes)
It is still worth the money, and to be honest it is allot cheaper to play wow then to play other games, such as Playstation games, xbox games, nintendo games... instead of buying a playstation 3 you can pay wow for the upcoming 3 years...

Didn't they teach you math in school? :P
Title: Re: World of Warcraft

Whilst something like Fallout 3 is fantastic value for money, eventually even that runs out of content.
WoW is online, hence has 'infinite content' because everything you do can be with different people.

Well Panda, do you remember the Arenas full of Druids Warriors and Rogues? Why not DKs too?

Not only do I not get your point, I've also never been in an arena..
I've also never had a problem with these classes. I only have problems in PvP with DKs, Locks and Hunters (bloody kiting).

:o I've never even been in an arena.

Plus, a lot of the top teams are now (apparently) DK/Pally combos. Since these are the two most OP classes, that makes good sense. Although Paladins are getting nerfed next patch (although ret gets slightly buffed).

Hehe, nice. Hm, looking forward for the new patch (3.0.8). In that patch you will be able to create a DK on any realm, no matter where you got your level 55+. Good for me, I got Three level 55+.  :)

Its not one per 55+, by the way - its however many you want (one per realm), if you have at least 55+.

3.0.8. brings awesome extra-imba also :o.

Of all things, Death Knights are getting buffed.
But hey, I'm not complaining.. so are Paladins. :D

3.0.8. brings awesome extra-imba also :o.

Of all things, Death Knights are getting buffed.
But hey, I'm not complaining.. so are Paladins. :D
I'm guessing warriors are getting nerfed, as always?
No love for the big guys :(

Only fury speccs got that, and it's really not that different from any other class's dps, infact the burst damage is pathetic so it's totally useless in PvP.

Well, protection is the best spec for mostly everything, questing, grinding, doing instances (tanking)...
But fury is by far more fun...

Arms = fail, unless you PvP.

I'm also levelling a Warrior, is Prot better than Arms for generally.. 'playing' (like questing etc)?
Title: Re: World of Warcraft
Post by: Abraham on January 20, 2009, 06:02:48 pm
Well, it depends on how you want to play... Protection is all about survivability, so if you're questing with good gear, you will be able to do allot of multi-player quests (2-3 player quests) and still survive. So the killing itself will be a bit slower, but you will not need to rest every few mobs. Fury is my personal choice when it comes to leveling, the killing goes fast and has a good flow, unlike Arms where you are allmost fully dependant on crits.

You need to have atleast a 55 lvl character on the realm, A full subsricption , with Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich king upgraded :)

Starting Wow, with buying all the expansions e.t.c costs about .. 15e The game, 15e The Burning crusade , 30 The Wrath of the Lich King and 30e a prepaid 60 days card

But you can still play with The game and a card only, but only to 60 lvl, then u must upgrade with the expansion packs

There are private servers, free servers, but that's against the "rules" of WoW, but nothing will happen.
you just need to change your Realmlist to whatever you're supposed to, and voila, free wow.

f*ck the night elves! grr. KROMM MAD! KROMM SMASH!

I used to play a year on private servers before moving on to retail and I have to say that it's MUCH better. The other players MAY or may NOT be total noobs (I was in a group with a prot. pally who said he was a healer and a holy priest who refused to heal because he didn't get a green).
If you have a good clan then it's really easy.
Privates started to piss me off (crashes, rollbacks, cocky admins[Blizzard has that issue too], bugs) so I bought retail as it's not very expensive imo. 200 EEK-- interrupted as a flatland cougar attacks his character while alt-tabbed -- is not that much imho.
So, Altair, if I don't see you in my server in one month, then KROMM SMASH your face up.

EDIT: I just got a NICE RP guild invite in my server to a guild named "Defenders of Mulgore". Taurens only!

Arthas ravaged Quel'thalas and the High Elves were almost wiped out.
Kael'thas Sunstrider renamed the remaining elves "Blood Elves" to commemorate their fallen brethren.

Considering 95% of the High Elf population got wiped out, and 4% left with Kael'thas to Outland, there must have been a whole fuckload of elves to start with, since there are a lot now (which is 1%).

How Arthas defeated these billions of elves I'll never know .

If im not mistaken...The Blood Elves are Elves that have hunger for Magic. Thats why in FT SP the Human Elves have the Spell Breaker, can control magical buffs and curses and units.
They are. But their name comes from the siege of Quel'Thalas and the wish of vengance for killing their homeland.
The hunger of magic appeard only due to the corruption of the Sunwell. The Sunwell itself was a source of magic, which they used. But when it got corrupted by Prince Arthas, they felt in hunger, seeking for any magical source for their people.

Blood elves between the Third War and World of Warcraft were physically identical to high elves, save that they dressed primarily in blacks and reds to remind themselves of their terrible losses. Many painted runes or mysterious tattoos on their faces, arms and shoulders for warding off demons or celebrating significant kills or simply to look intimidating — something high elves would never do. As well, they adopted hair styles that went against the norms of high elf society. 15 Nevertheless when approaching Alliance towns blood elves would often disguise themselves as high elves to avoid harm.  The sin'dorei likely have life spans similar to high elves (see life spans). How fast they age is unknown but is likely similar to that of the high elves.

Since the destruction of the Sunwell at the hands of Arthas and the Scourge, the blood elves have been forced to deal with the sudden relapse of their addiction to arcane energy. A constant curse since the original Well of Eternity was destroyed, the addiction has become more powerful than ever. Blood elves spend their waking days struggling with their weakness, seeking either to sate it by siphoning magical energy from their surroundings or to resist the urge to feed.

Blood elves are addicted to the use of arcane magic. A blood elf must spend one hour each morning in meditation, resisting the distractions of their addiction. Blood elves have learned to slake their thirst through the absorption of fel energies. If the blood elf partakes of demon’s blood, the magic addiction abates for a number of days.

While the blood elves do not abstain from draining arcane power directly, they are careful to keep their addictions under control, keeping the power their new abilities offer while maintaining self-discipline. Those who lose control over their addiction change into "The Wretched," and invariably fall into insanity and corruption.

As Arcanist Helion (a starting zone quest NPC) says, "Control your thirst for magic...It is a thirst unending."

The other diffirence between High elfs and Blood elfs are the color eye and dress style. Blood Elfs uses red and black dresses, representing to their loss during the siege of Quel'Thalas. The eye color represents their thurst of arcane energy and turning theirselves draining the Fel energy of demons and elementals.

As for the population and status of High Elfs....

Current status

Currently some high elves are trying to find a new homeland, with possibly a new source of magic. They are shunned by most of the Alliance, particularly the night elves. Ranger Lord Hawkspear and Aurora Skycaller maintain a vigil over the Eastern Plaguelands, sheltering their people within the elven lodge there. Deep in the Hinterlands, Saldor Shallowbrook and Jalinde Summerdrake continue their lives, forming diplomatic alliances with other members of the Alliance. In Northrend, a faction of high elves are led by Vereesa Windrunner against the blood elves under the name of The Silver Covenant. Many others decided to stay with the Kirin Tor and are neutral.

Dalaran currently has the highest concentration of high elves.

Some high elves have also joined the 7th Legion, Valiance Expedition, and Fordragon Holds forces.

Remnants of the Alliance Expedition's high elven ranger cadre are currently at Allerian Stronghold.

Only Blizzard or its licensees have the right to host the Game. You may not host or provide matchmaking services for the Game, or intercept, emulate or redirect the proprietary communication protocols used by Blizzard in connection with the Program, regardless of the method used to do so. Such prohibited methods may include, but are not limited to, protocol emulation, reverse engineering, modifying the Program, adding unauthorized components to the Program, or using a packet sniffer while the Program is running.

Blizzard will gladly take actions against people who open up private servers, and Argonath has too much to loose.

What do you mean, "downloaded GTA:SA"? Are you insinuating that I can't afford 12 quid?
I bought the f**king game ages ago, purely for SA-MP.
SA-MP, far from costing Rockstar Games anything, is actually making them money, as people purchase their products to use with the various multiplayer mods available.

Private Servers cost Blizzard (lots of) money, as they do not recieve subscription fees from the users of these private servers.
Hence, your point is now moot.

Give me the definition of nerd/geek.
Some people immediately think if a person wears glasses and/or studies hard in school he/she is a geek/nerd.
About the glasses, I wear them and I haven't been called a geek/nerd once. I don't study at all in school either. Also I don't look like a pig. Oink.
Some people study hard at school because they realise that they have to study if they want a good job with a great pay etc.

However, I have called people nerds. People who look like (http://2dboy.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/nerd.jpg)

Appearence isn't the major factor, though. When you study, you get called a nerd. When you wear glasses, you may be called a geek. If you beat someone up you won't be called names. I remember when a guy (now my friend) was beefing with me in fifth grade. I proposed to fight with him on the playground. He started laughing and accepted. He was very certain that he was going to win as I'm not an athlete (read: I suck at physical activities) and he was one of the best in our class in terms of P.E. When he charged at me, I grabbed hold of him and just put him down on the ground, hit him 2 times in the face and he started crying and ran home. That's what you got to do when someone gets overzealous.
That is, of course, if you have some muscles backing your point up.

Whoa, look how off topic I got.

Got 5 achievements in my first battle in WSG. Horde kicks serious ass.

my little brother got involved with this game.. costed a lot in a month.. $15?? $180 a year... but he played for about 2 months until he got hooked like cigarettes on the game.. he dropped out on his friends just to play an extra hour on the game, and he skipped meals, even though we put a plate of food next to him, he didnt even look at it.. his eyes were bloodshot, his eyes had huge bags in them.. he kinda looked like a crackhead at that time..

next thing I know, he's playing overnight and all day on the thing.. and if we "force" him to come with us shopping or something.. he would start crying..

eventually my dad cut the payment off on the VISA, but my brother played for the remaining days of "credit" then... he tried to log in.. "Subscription expired"

"" AAAW F*CK YOU DAD!!" he ran out the house and only lasted until midnight when he came back home to eat. 5 hours is still alot for a kid sitting under a tree... LOL

from then on, I kinda think WoW is bad..  if you drop out on your best friend just to play this game... thats bad.

If you dont meet your friends, and do not eat, because of a game... it is you who have serious problems, not the game.

Also, something like "You shouldn't neglect your real life because of adventures in Azeroth." or something like that.

I bought a whole new copy (no game time cards were on sale :P ) and started playing in the RP server known as Moonglade.
My name is Kromm Striderhoof (nickname is Striderhoof) and I'm a tauren. So if you play in Moonglade as a horde character, look me up.
Btw, Oliver, i was browsing servers today on www.worldofwarcraft.com, but i haven't found "Moonglade" server, only Moon guard. Are you sure  :conf:?

You do not need to be lvl 80.
If you join the tournament (it costs like 15 euros or w/e) you will get a fully costumizable level 80 character that you can do 3v3 arena with.

that ppl actually play WoW, its monthly paying to use it,
you must be crazy to do that,
then go play runescape, the game is exactly the same idea,
but runescape is for free,

wow now that's a game I've spent both time and money on. 2 lvl 70 shamans, 1 72 rouge, 1 80 DK and another bunch of characters.

I've played WoW for about 4 years but this year I decided to quit. I finally thought why am I lvling? so I just can grind for more gear which will suck in a short future and then I've got to get new gear in the exact same way? So I won't spend anymore cash on that game any more + (it's getting to easy these days I mean ZG was harder then the new nax will ever become.)
At least this is my opinion of WoW

How long have YOU played?
And how much longer do you think you will play?

Wat does that mean.
Title: Re: World of Warcraft
Post by: Niall on July 25, 2009, 04:35:04 pm
It means for a slightly high fee - In LOTRO(Lord of the rings online) it is around £150 - Your subscription will be unlimited and won't have to pay a fee for the game until the game itself expires which is around 70 years. The only think you pay for after that are expansion packs. I like it because if you for example pay £10 a month your going to want to play it all the time to get your moneys worth whereas if you pay for lifetime sub then you can just play it when you feel like it and not worry if you play it like once or twice a month because as you are covered for a lifetime. I asked because if I played WoW it would be less of a soul sucker if I was able to get it.
Title: Re: World of Warcraft
Post by: Pandalink on July 25, 2009, 05:58:35 pm
I tried LOTRO actually, but I was severely unimpressed with the tutorial area (as compared to the WoW one).
Can anyone describe some advantages of LOTRO over WoW?

Also, can somebody please try casting a scroll of resurrection on character Tanetaar (Server: Chamber of Aspects EU).
It could work now, or it may need another day. If I decide to resubscribe (which I might), whoever does it gets a free month.
Cheers.

Ok, lets choose a server fast and smooth. I gonna see how Emerald Dream pings for me, if it's over 200, i'm pass.

Editod: Guys, not funny joke, i had 394 ping there D:

Please, lets choose another one. I just checked out a server: Anachronos, it pinged out for me on 92 ms, lets try that one? Others, test it out and see if it's capable for you.

Odited 2nd Edition: Also tried out "Argent Dawn", pinged out for me 59, but i think it's the least choice as you 100% will have much higher.

When you take an RP server, imagine LSRP on SAMP.
Then imagine everyone on LSRP being extra pissed off.

Voila. Bunch of elitist "omg nonrp" type attitudes.

By the way guys, PvP isn't actually that bad. Fleeing a fucking army in Booty Bay and diving off the pier for the last boat to Ratchet (where all the other alliance refugees are hidden below deck) is awesome.
With a large group, PvP servers are pretty okay to level in, as long as you have a hunter or other that can track humanoids and give a heads up when one is approaching.

I have not yet been ganked and corpsecamped on my second main (o.O), and I am at level 47 (I realise I'm not even to Outland or Northrend yet).
Sure, I've been killed by level 80s a few times. But I usually escape on my first corpse run.

Keep in mind that I've basically been in Goblin zones for awhile, so shared town = pain.
The goblin guards can't zerg Level 80s effectively, so its a free for all there.

I'd go for a PvP server guys, and this is coming from somebody who hates PvP and wants to see it die forever!/!!1!11!  D:

Burning Blade?

Quote
A lot of rumors flying recently about the new World of Warcraft expansion. MMO Champion says they've got the details for sure. I suppose we'll find out this week at Blizzcon.

When the rumors first started leaking out, I felt pretty "meh" on the subject. A couple new races, and letting old races be new classes? Neat, I guess, but you're still playing the same game that we've been playing for the past five years. Not exactly high caliber stuff for a third expansion.

But then they started talking about the Cataclysm stuff. SPOILERS AHEAD. AVERT YOUR EYES IF YOU'RE AVOIDING WOW EXPANSION SPOILERS. Now, this could all be bullshit, we won't know for certain until we hear it from Blizzard themselves, but the rumor is that a huge cataclysmic event is going to seriously fuck up Azeroth's shit. Orgrimmar split in half, Thousand Needles flooded, death damage and destruction everywhere you turn. Nothing is the same, Azeroth is trying to rebuild. Zones, quests and instances revamped. Able to use your flying mounts in old zones, etc.

Now if that's true... if they're really doing this, and doing it well (not some "alternate reality zone, caverns of time horseshit) then I am impressed. And psyched. This is precisely the kind of thing WoW needs to make it feel fresh again. Let's face it, after five years, the game is showing its age. And quite frankly, it's made improvements in leaps and bounds over those five years, and the original zones got left in the dust. Bringing all of that stuff up to par with the newer stuff is a smart move.

I'm entirely sure that there are a bunch of hardcore raiders out there bawling themselves to sleep at the thought that Blizzard might not be focusing entirely on them for this expansion, but in my opinion, the game needs this. Especially if it wants to stand it's ground against The Old Republic and all the hawtness that game is offering. Personally, I think it will be plenty neat to walk through an old zone and think 'Wow, I remember what this place was like before Armageddon fucked it in the ass'.

Last week I probably couldn't have cared less, but this week I'm excited to see what news comes out of Blizzcon.

From http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/index.php

Would be cool if such a thing took place actually.

I bought Burning Crusade and World of Warcraft like 1-2 years ago. Perhaps 1 and a half, somewhere around there.
Anyway, so, I registred and got 2 months I think, I don't remember the E-Mail(probably my original one), neither the account name and not the password. That's like 100 bucks wasted on nothing. Oh well, the covers looks fantastic. With those comb thingys, you know. With wool and steel straws...whatever.

Okay, so, I registred a new trial account via WoW's site, level 5(now, started recently), Dwarf, Hunter. I dont remember which city. Like Silvermoon or something.

After this trial, can I refill just that account? Or do I have to create a brand new one?
And I need some help playing the days(OBS! Tomorrow it's 9 days left of the trial, and I have no money to spend on purchasing time at the moment).

wEll, you need to add a gaming card, then you can enjoy playing two more months :)

If you create a trial account, you only need a CD key to activate the account to a standard WoW account, that gives you a free month. If you did buy it, simply log in on Account Management and add it, or buy it online, and it's activated within 72 hours :)

On my trial period, I made a new character on Eonar. A Human, Warrior. In 3 days, I got up to level 14, nearly 15.
It ends 15:00 CET today. I don't have money to fill up with time though. So probably I'll create a new trial account et cetera, till I get cash. My dad has a tight budget at the moment, so he can't throw away money at me and my brother at the moment.

Well it's 12 days now that I went and bought World of Warcraft...

whole packet costed me around 73 euros..

The World of Warcraft (12 Euros), Expansion: The Burning Crusade (13 Euros), Expansion: Wrath of the Lich King(24 Euro) and the Game Card of 60 Days (24 Euros.)

Thanks to my best friend who Invited me.. We both won 1 month extra..

I went in 3 Days to level 22 with a Human Rogue (http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Genjuros&n=Ovelias) in Genjuros PVP

I kinda did not play it that much last week.. so if I did, I could've been about level 40~ now :)

Hm, seems this shit is pretty dead.

Anyways..

PROPOSITION:

I'd like to propose that we re-new the idea about gathering most of us on the same server, and making a guild(?).

I was thinking that we should take a PVP server, as generally most of us want to kill other people. Also I think we should ALL start new characters, so we can do instances and stuff like that together.

I'd also suggest we go Horde, as generally they're more mature, most of the times anyway.

Also I'm adding that we should go on a RP-PVP server, as there are some of us that enjoy RP in WoW. You're not forced to RP just because you're on a RP server, so dont start whining at me. ;>

PS: If we get enough people we could even do our own 10 man raids, maybe we could join a raiding "Alliance" even.

I'm planning on making a Warrior or a Druid, shoot me with what ya think!

Well, the idea was that we all started over on a RP-PVP server.

So far it's:

Me
Oliver

Anyone else interested? Would be fun if we had more people :)

I was thinking about a little guild idea:

Argonath / Something similar
All Argonathians auto-invited if they want.
Non-Argonathians can join if we like em.

I was also thinking about letting someone recruit me, so they get 1 month of gametime. But for that I will DEMAND that you level ATLEAST 1 char to level 55 with me :P

Alan, i'd do it with you, the recruiting and levelling to 55, what server would you like? I'm also up for a guild together, but again what server?

and of course the main question, do you have lives, or can you dedicate alot of your day to it, because i hate playing with people who have lives and hold back the progress, i have a small life, but if i dedicate myself to something i'd do it properly.

I wouldn't mind rolling a tauren paladin.

Currently a 55 Human Mage. not played in months, btw. have it installed and all addons i want though

I'm going to suggest that we go on Defias Brotherhood.

-Good and stable server
-RP server
-PVP server
-Good community
-Lots of good RP guilds for those interested in that
-Lots of good PVE guilds
-Lots of good PVP guilds

I myself will make a Warrior, and maybe a druid.

Alright, we've got 3 now, the more the merrier.

Sign up folks!

It's nice that there are so little WoW fans here but I mean this Expansion comes out at a bad time, Blizzard is really just trying to capitalize on profits this year because its unheard of for Blizzard to release more then one expansions for its "Original" 4 games in one year, I'd Say Black Opps and Cataclysm will be the biggest Winter games this year. However if you are a fan of WoW and i cannot lie I love Blizzard games they put so much depth into them and being a SC WC and Diablo player myself its always nice to see the next installment however WoW is now like what 25 Gigs of data with all 3 expansions installed plus other Mods and tools heh at least you can still play the game Free with private servers.

To those playing WoW

Think how much money has been wasted

If I bought a game on a disc, the owners should have the decency to not put a Subscription charge AS WELL.

If I played a game like that, seriously, Guild Wars would be my choice

Plus..As long as your having fun, 15 Dollars ain't much money...

PS: if you guys we're paying 15 Euros, Huge Fail, at Blizzard store it's 15 Dollars..Which is quite cheaper :P

Post by: TheRock on January 03, 2011, 06:05:36 pm
Hey ya all, after having a small convo with a few friends at minecraft, I've decided to do what I was planning for months now, since I last had active subscription to World of Warcraft back at Summer!

So, what I am looking to do is this;
Gather people from Argonath who have an ACTIVE Subscription, to a realm, Form a guild, make new characters and level up!

For now, This is in Phase 1!

Phase 1 is simple! If you are interested, Reply here using the template!

Code: [Select]
Name:
Account Status: Simple WoW / TBC+ / WotLK+ / Cataclysm+
Region: EU? etc.
Characters: Name/Realm (Link if able)
Subscription status: Active until: Picture if able, or copy-paste.
Will you be able to spend atleast 1hour the day with us? Or if not, Are you available on weekends and if yes, How many hours?

Example
Name: TheRock
Region: Europe
Account Status: Full World of Warcraft with all it's expansions. (TBC/WOTLK/CATA)
Characters(Main): Ovelias (Human Rogue) (R: Genjuros) (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/genjuros/ovelias/simple)
Subscription status: Active until: (http://i56.tinypic.com/20s26o.png)
Will you be able to spend atleast 1hour the day with us? Or if not, Are you available on weekends and if yes, How many hours? Available for up to 2 hours everyday, up to 8 hours on weekend days.

Phase 1: Confirmed players.
TheRock

Phase 2

So what are you waiting for? Post already!  :devroll:

Why making for every game a new Server (argonath)
Why not just get minecraft and the other small servers big and succesfull before starting something new?

You know, you want a server, but the owners gotta pay more for you guys, eventually the players will get argonath down because there are to much costs.. think about this.

Or i did not read it good enough lol..

MMORPGS are more addiction than fun.

it took 2 years to me lay off tibia, when i finally did, i still had some ppl asking me to f**king play this shit, however, lucky myself, i don't play tibia anymore, it has passed 1 year already, and i'm clean of MMORPG poisoning.
I feel so glad, i don't play any more any MMORPG, and when i see a game that contains, MMORPG, i uninstall it.

So this week I made a new character, I'm now playing on Neptulon-EU-PVP with some of my classmates and their brothers..

I'm currently leveling up a rogue again, on the same name and it has "/played" of 25 hours and that is from 1-31 Level :).
My other rogue, I had spent like 2 years? And not active.. and only let him on level 34 before I re-picked him up a month ago and took around 20 levels.
I guess this is my fastest level up of the same char type :)

I'm playing on Subtley as default for level-up, however I'll be going Assassination this time, because it's better DPS when higher level! Instead of Combat that I was on my other rogue who is 53,8~ Now.

The only reason I moved is, because I'm now in a very good guild which is level 13 and keeps active all time.. It consists around 80 active players, which most are 85 already and are doing heroics everyday.. I get good things from being in it, like 10%+ XP, 15Mins less on Hearthstone and like 10%+ Honor points, which is good for level up.
And as well as, that my friends can boost me crazy.. Once I got on the realm with the char, they gave me like 200G each of them :P (my friends), and like 4 16-slot bags :D

Good old memories :D

Stoped playing like 3-4 months ago

Had 4 85's

My main Mage, stopped at 1952 rating at 3vs3 , 1850 at 2vs2
My alt DK , Mainly for pvp too, reached 1900 rating at 2vs2, about 1700 at 3vs3
And a rogue and a druid 85 for farming and professions

I would gladly start playing again, but it grows boring on Cataclysm,

Was playing since TBC

There were some development but sadly it didn't get to keep on, although WoW Rping is a pain, i'd like to see how it goes..btw I'm installing now, gonna play on some Private Server with a couple of friends, once I get to a good enough level, i'll post a pic. I want a blood elf, so Either Blood Elf Pala or Blood Elf Rogue, Any opinions ? Might suggest another race but it gotta be horde.

I would say, Undead for race, Its the coolest, Racials doesnt matter that much, especially on a private server
So
Undead
Rogue, Mage, Warlock

I dont think Argonath would put up a private WoW server since it's illegal to it.

And this is my current main character: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/eonar/lalonna/simple (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/eonar/lalonna/simple)

Guys..is it worth buying WoW ? I mean, it really looks fun, and private servers are always so bugged and filled with hackers..Really thinking of getting it.

Seriously boring and dumb game, I can't understand what's so addictive about it, so I won't ever even try to play it, as someone said, it's really a nerdgame and in my town you get dissed for playing it, only the worse of the worse of nolifers do it, and I mean whole day.

Yeah, To be honest, this game is quite.. g@y.. it ruins people's life. If any of you are playing it, I advice you as a friend, quit, for your own good.

There are much much much better games, that does not ruin your life.

I am afraid to play WoW, I don't doubt that it's a good game and as far as the other comments go about 'street rep'- I couldn't care less if people thought I was a loser because I played it. I think I have an addictive personality and fear if I play it I won't stop, that's my reason. Some people can play it and still have a life, if I played it I probably couldn't.

Not really, Depends on personality

Im playing wow casually, Mostly arena at 2k Rating which is pretty good, while I have a really good social life, With my Job, my Girlfriend and my friends

If you can controll yourself on how many hours you want to play, There is no games that can ruin your life

It's not World of Warcrafts fault, it's the persons own fault and shouldn't blame it on WoW.

When I played WoW, the only reason I continued to do so for a long time was because it was quite simply the most entertaining use of my free time, and a very enjoyable game.

When Cataclysm came out, and it became a bit shit, I quit.
