Title: [Solved] Call of Duty 4 ~ Punkbuster error

Hey guys.

Everytime i get into call of duty and play on a server, i get kicked after 1 minute. The error message says "Restriction: Punkbuster.exe initialization failed"

Ive tried things like reinstalling Punkbuster, updating. I dont know whats wrong, can someone help?

What do you mean turn it on? It has always been on when i play, but now it does not show up on the Windows task manager. :conf:

Is there a manual way to turn it on?

Make sure the .exe file is accessable. Try placing it in another folder and adding the CoD4 properly in it's game list.

Multiplayer Options
Punkbuster ON :D

try to get new punkbuster from web

also did you first install game then punkbuster or did you install it durring install of cod4? when i played it first i instaled it after  game install gave similar error, when i instaled during game install. worked fine...

It was a little more complex then your suggestions guys.

I deinstalled Punkbuster, then reinstalled. I did not update my PB, because the update was the problem all along. The update was finishing prematurely, therefore somehow deleting my PnkbstrB.exe everytime I wanted to play. Therefore, I got my friend to send me his PB folder which had already been updated. :D

Problem solved. ;)
