Post by: Mr. Goobii on December 06, 2008, 12:26:09 am
hey, I got a little problem I would like to solve.

My router has locked itself into ADSL, and therefore I can not plug in another cable directly into the ADSL ...

look at this picture and please try to understand

summary
I would like to connect the cable that sits on my router to my DSL, but then I get no internet. Please help me

I hope you understand me, ask if there are any, are not so good, so not too difficult answers. :conf:

ok think i understood it
disconect router and then try..
most routers have priority parity set to 1, meaning if any other device is connected, router is "the boss"

:ps: why not leave pc through router? and if you disable router what will be with laptop?

I will try it ...

Why I do not have as it is now is because I do a webradio, and a webradio takes a lot of network traffic and the router goes off when not able to send more network traffic ((perhaps 3mbit) and I have more than that ... so I would like have my 'radio machine directly linked to ADSL and the other laptops in the router
