I'm going crazy now. Fallout 3 is constantly crashing! I go to a door that goes to an interior it crashes! Well... sometimes it DOES crash... Or the loading screen is just permanent! Since when I got my new specs for the PC it's gone crazy like this.
Funny thing is that it doesn't happen to the other games I have that were installed when I had the Geforce 8600 GTS and the Dual Core processor.
Current specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series
And some other non-exchanged stuff.
Don't come with stuff liek cuz it's because of the GPU being an ATI, cuz NVIDIA and ATI are praticly the same for me

Well I have a Skullptura rip and it crashed big time before applying patch, If you have this version of game look for it...)
-
sorry for quote
Update your drivers
-
All drivers are updated since I first got the Video Card. (installed them right away)
Now I was really cool playing and then, ta-dah, random crash... AND BLUE SCREEN!?!? :wow:
Good thing I saved like 10 seconds before of that, I really need to go to the Deathclaw Sanctuary...
EDIT: INFORMATION: I went to see grandma at around 15:00, Fallout 3 was ALWAYS turned on, then I only came at 18:00... No wonder it crashed?????

I had huge crashes before too..
Try this. I found it on one website and it worked for me.
1. Click Start
2. Click “All Programs†(or just Programs, depending on the version of Windows, whether they’re using “classic,†etc.)
3. Go to the ffdshow folder.
4. Click “Audio decoder configuration.â€ÂÂ
5. In the left hand pane, click “Info & debug.†This is the second entry in the list.
6. In the right hand pane, near the bottom, find a check box labelled “Don’t use ffdshow in:â€ÂÂ
7. Check that box, and in the text box underneath (it lights up when you check the check box), add “fallout3.exe†(don’t include the quotes). If there is already something in that box, put a semi-colon ( ; ) after what’s already there, and fallout3.exe after that. Do NOT use spaces, since ffdshow will think that’s part of the filename. A valid entry would be “explorer.exe;fallout3.exe†(without quotes).
8. Finally, click “Ok†and start Fallout 3.

Daxx probably has an older version.
It's kinda weird because for mine to work I had to install ffdshow and enable it for fallout3.exe, which is just the opposite of what all the sites I checked told me to do.
