dear people,
i have an problem with downloading mta, this happens when i download it from filefront, gtagarage, argonath forums,MTAvc.com. etc etc. download completed, i click open, it says OR, corrupt file, OR terminated, and other things. i tried to turn off my antivirus but its the same, many people from MTA helped me in an MSN multi chat. but i still cant figure out how to get MTA vice city.
i hope u can help! Steven_Capone
PS: if u think its easier add me on msn: [email protected]

Turning off your anti-virus software will probably not work, since both the installer and the client executable are considered to be trojans, so it'll be blocked as soon as you turn it on again (or even while it's off, because the scanner is off but the download protection system might be still on). The thing to do is to add the *\MTAInstall05.exe and *\MTAClient.exe files to the anti-virus' ignore list. It varies from software to software, but everyone has (or should have) the option to do so.

Either add the path you will download the installer (eg. "c:\documents and settings\[your user name]\desktop\MTAInstaller05.exe" to or try adding "*\MTAInstaller05.exe" to your ignore list (which should make the installer ignored wherever it would be located).
Same with MTAClient.exe
