Title: The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion
Post by: Oliver on January 10, 2009, 08:00:43 pm: TES4 gets boring REALLY fast without mods. I just installed about 5 GB of mods and will go play it now.
Comment on this game. If you need answers, I'll give you answers.

I have had about 20+ characters. I have completed the main quest 3 times, KotN 1 time and Shivering Isles 0 times (due to me having a custom race :( )
I still haven't found all the side quests.
I have about a thousand modded weapons there.

Certain mods you MUST have are: OOO, Francesco's and MMM.
Toastie's companion mod is awesome too.

I downloaded a mod for Morrowind that makes combat more like Oblivion by using a script that makes your blade skill high enough so everytime you swing or shoot an arrow it will always be a direct hit, I think stats depend on how much damage you do and such though. TES4 is pretty good though, and you'll probably like Fallout 3 too.

I played Morrowind till I got to level 57 or 58. I completed almost every quest in the game + mod quests.

Back to Oblivion: I just killed a Gargantuan Slaughterfish (5 times longer than me, 3 times wider than me.. I'm an argonian) at level 1. I used 11 health potions. I got a dwemer waraxe + I got to level 2. The fight was hard, as I couldn't see sh*t in the water and the Slaughterfish was wiggling around everywhere. The battle was epic, tho.

Post by: Oliver on January 12, 2009, 01:49:46 pm: I went on a regular dungeon crawl yesterday evening and I found a chest which had a very hard lock on it. I tried to open the chest and I got pwned by a fire damage spell (I had 52% fire resistance). I reloaded the game and had to drink 2 vintage 399 wines to resist the spell (fortify health effects FTW).
I got an enchanted sword from it. (claymore with 5 frost damage :( ). At least the bandit ringleader dropped good fur pants.

Yeah, that mod is actually quite sweet. Too bad that it removes the master restoration trainer, though.

Ive managed to make oblivion reborn working with my friend and it had too much bugs including that i couldnt see my friends armor on head armor so he was running around in underwear with assasins cape on the head :D. anyway we played for about 30 mins and then the connection timed, it was so funny cuz on my screen ive killed him and on his screen i didnt :D

Best MOD Imo. Makes the game a lot harder and more realistic! Away with the creatures that are always the same level as you!
