What has happened to Argonath?
When i started here for one and a half year ago, this was a warm, friendly community with alot of love in.
When i check every topic now, the only thing i can see is coldness..
I mean okay, some people doesnt have a perfect life, as you, And they are a bit attention-seeking at forums.
Whats the big deal? Let them be that and help them through a hard time that many of us actually have.
Is this a community or is it a fight club?
Please admins and fellow players, we must change this now.. or Argonath will just be one of many SA-MP servers, as they are now..
I don't blame anyone particular for this, it's many peoples fault.
Please.. change we need as we lost MANY fellow players due to this cause.

Ok, pardon me of wanting to know a rational reason of why I am guilty of something that I clearly aren't. I am cold and unfriendly only toward those who attacks me. And I believe that everybody are resposible for their own actions, I for example can't control, what is Nexxt doing in this community, so I can't really prevent him of being unfriendly and cold.
And here you are, asking people to be friendly and warm and then start accusing me of being unfriendly and cold, though actually it is you, who is cold and unfriendly toward me.

Not to be an ass, but I think this thing of being "unfriendly and cold" is becomming like a virus. That's because Argonath is not so enjoyable anymore, that's why I left! MTA:VC is currently rulling Argonath. It's more enjoyable, and most likely friendly.
This is because of the FIGGING ROLEPLAY DEMANDERS. I went on !help and saw: "Roleplay has no limit." or something.
Even Seskom has called me a noob because I didn't want to roleplay! I AM NOT OBLIGED TO DO SO! Normal members have NO power over me and I ALSO DONT HAVE ANY OVER THEM.
Actually, it's because he's done something and in Real Life you would do "that" or not. And he thought "WTF he can't roleplay".
Now, this is true. This happened like 3 days before I left SA:MP... Argonath.
I personally agree with Zun, some time ago, it was more friendly and "warm", now...
I... just... don't like the roleplay anymore. I did the right thing: I left because I didn't like. No one can stop me.

The most people are getting crazy, I just think they need to turn Argonath SA:MP for some days off, so everybody can think about it, what they have done. People are starting to hate, we need to stop this, right now.

Yes it is a place to Hang out make new Friends join in on some Friendly Banter with fellow Forum Goers. But people change and so does their Attitude towards people. Give it time it'll blow over soon enough.

I think we all miss old times but now its time for new things and hopefully we can fix it.
Our community is now big and everyone don't know each other , thats the point.

Argonath is going though a little grow up as I think, we all need to grow up and be a little mature and the thing I think is with Argonath too as so many people will make diffrences here and other people wont.
You cant change the fact that Argonath will allways be the same for people, ofc it will change by time and its completely normal and I do not think its about this "coldness", we all change.

I always said to people that Argonath sucks: "Don't like it, most likely if you don't want to have problems I suggest you to leave". Now I say to myself EXACTLY that.
I'm not saying Argonath sucks, but for me it doesn't rule either.
Of coooursse I almost always said it rules and I like it, but I can't play forever. Like I can't stay alive forever. Or be "miop" (or how the hell you say, it's "mÃÂÂope" in Porteguese or something (never writed it), it's like you can't see stuff that is far from you, seems all "defocated") forever (unless there isn't some kind of treatment, apart from using glasses or contact lens)
I'm not EITHER saying that I play/do something forever, because obviously I get bored of things like every human... except life. Well... I don't really know. Correct me if I'm wrong, atleast one more thing I learn...
Plus:
First off the only case I didn't want to roleplay was that "semi-not-really-a-conflict" with Seskom, if there was anything else, I'm afraid I don't remember. It doesn't fucking mean I don't want to roleplay ever again.

Zun, I do not think that you shall take it that personal, what did you expect when you ask the community ? You gotta learn to handle negative feedback and learn by it and dont give up too easy mate.
But its quite true, Argonath CHANGED alot this year thats also why I choosed to leave SA:MP and move to the small servers such as MTA:SA and VC:MP.
Have faith and hope, there will be changes, good or bad ? Time will show us if you just want to be here and see it.

Ok I can see why its stupid for you to be saying "I dont want to RP" when a cop tries to pull you over, because if you can be interfering with other peoples Rp (like running over people or hitting cars...) But for like a robbing or kidnapping, (which most criminals do it for money, only a handful only do it for "roleplay") then you have every f*cking right not to roleplay. Either because you have other things to do,l ike take care of business with admin, house, bizz, etc.... or you know the guy cant Rp worth a rats ass.

It has been like this for a very long time.

This coldness is due to expansion. Before when Argonath was smaller everyone knew everyone and everything was coo. But as time passed Argonath grew and people didn't know everyone. So then it came to the point that people alienated themselves in clans. Then after that certain clans did not like other clans and every one didn't want to be apart of something they thought wasn't as good as another. So then the mentality of "I don't know you so why are you talking to me" started so then people don't listen to people who they don't know. Its the same thing as the real world. Clans are like gangs on the street. Admins are like cops and other players are citizens. Therefore there are some bonds between people who are still longtime friends but those eventually die then start again.

This topic can be good reminder that money is not everything. Most of us like to have realistic Rp than just *give me your money*. I mean how boring is that really? He is aiming you with gun and if you don't give money you can say bye bye to your character. And if you give it maybe same result or then he just leave. Well i guess that is how it goes in real life too but it don't happen that much in real life ;). And about coldness. Argonath changed?. Some peoples on Argonath changed yes. That is what we cant control so i just focus to keep my playing on good level.

My views on this:
1. If a cop is arresting you for something you actually did and you give the "/l i dont want to roleplay with you, piss off im not in the mood", it shows that you are no different than the people who cant roleplay. There is a time and place when you can say no to roleplay, such as when someone asks you if you want to RP a hostage in a Kidnapping and you're busy. Seriously, a real veteran RPer takes every opportunity to RP, and show the newbies how it's done.
2. SA:MP seriously needs some of that warm friendliness that can be found on the 3 other smaller servers, especially MTAVC.
3. Clans and Gangs should dump the isolationist doctrine and reach out to each other.

Most of you people, take Argonath way too seriously. It's like you need Argonath, you need to get that ARPD officer status, you need to get that admin level and you need to get into the Rock Stars. Well guys, I haven't been an ARPD officer, though I have been all these other things, I can say from experience, up there, the sun won't shine brighter, the people don't role play better and the deathmatchers still keep coming to the server. So why even bother being so seriously attempting to get those statuses?
If you are trying to say that most of you don't have those goals then who are you fooling there? Me or you? As I saw what happened after I had announced the Oscar Nomination of 2008.

So, what do I suggest for you to do? Have fun! I don't know about you guys, but I joined Argonath's community just because I wanted to have some fun. And by fun I don't mean role playing I mean fun. But don't forget that during the time you are having fun, let others have fun too. If you want to role play as it makes you feel warmer inside, do it. If you are in no mood to role play and instead want to relax with listening to music and stunt, do it. As long as you don't interfere with others who are trying to have fun.

Ok whats wrong with trying to get officer Status, or trying to make it in a mafia. Setting goals for yourself is a great way to live life..... Sure have fun but dont act immature and like an idiot on the server, even if you think its "fun". Yes there are people who take Argonath to seriousluy, but there are those who take it not seriously enough.... And what else bothers me is that people just go on there to talk and dont want to RP at all. They try to get "respect +1" by talking and making friends, well heres a tip: Roleplaying will get you "respect +1337"......

It isn't but all I see, is that the main emphasis should be on fun, all that comes beside it is a bonus. Have fun and you probably get those statues too. I mean, when I joined Argonath I accomplished it all (what I wanted) but I never set myself goals. I rather got offers to join a mafia or ARPD then set myself a goal to get myself into these groups.

I dobt anyone these days would get something like that. And I do see what your saying, and I kinda agree. Live your virutal life on here fun and good things will come to you as a suprise. I wish it was like that, but its just not like that these days. Instead of just driving around and having RP happen to you just like that, you need to search for the RP which often times is hard to find.
