Title: On perm-ban
Post by: JayL on February 14, 2009, 04:05:04 am
A player should get a message like

"To request an unban, please post an appeal at www.argonathrpg.eu/forum - VC:MP Unban Requests"

When he/she is perm-banned by an administrator.

Yes thats a problem couse if you got kicked/banned then VC:MP automaticly closes pretty fast.

Whats wrong with the way the Admins ban people right now, the way right now is pretty freaking easy.

There's nothing wrong, but when we ban a new player, he doesn't know where to post unban, and if we are going to write "www.argonathrpg.eu/forum", it takes more than half of the reason space, so we need to insert short reasons and then it gets complicated.

Maybe put the website in the server name?

Or they search on google.

Guess no none of your read the solution of telling Players where to go to get Unbanned... Simply add a Timer delaying for around 5 Secs.

It's common sense come one, somebody gets banned because they broke the rules. The first thing tehre going to do is type the Server Name from the game in there Internet Browser. Argonath Forums will come up, they will enter the forums and find the unban topic them selves. Rules breakers maybe stupid but there not Mindless.

not sure if this is possible
making the ban message wen they try to reconnect to server?
"Banned - Please go to www.argonathrpg.eu/forum to post an unban"

or wt about
a quick freeze to the player, then mutes him/her
and shows a message that they can see
saying that they are banned etc...
and if they try to talk, then they are removed from the server(banned)
not sure how long the message could show
