My cymbal's brand, Zildjian (AWESOME! Aswell as Paiste and Sabian! Also love Hammerax cymbals hehe)
Zildjian ZXT, this is the make of the cymbals. This is the ride of my kit
(http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii119/MiamiSforza/IMG_0372.jpg)
I use Evan Hydralics for the batter heads on the toms, and Remo for the resonat heads as you can see in the background

Also, great kit, love the hardware. Especially the 22" (im guessing) China. Please tell me more about the rest of the kit! :D

Yeah it showed hits coming from this Forum so i checked it out.. Funny $^&% i got a good laugh out of it..
Yeah the 22" china is great. In these pics i have some "remix" hats & ride that emulate electronic sounds. I have a few different setups that i use with this kit. I need to take an updated pic. I currently have the 16" remote kit back as a floor tom. I have a 10" pop corn snare thats amazing.

Thanks :)
-
Umm... they do
Really? Can you give me a link? I would love to be able to buy direct from pearl. They only go thru dealers for as long as i have known.

From a musician's point of view you dont know how retarded and idioting you look saying all that :D
Playing the drums is a very skilled thing, its all about coordination, and when you finally master it, its the best feeling. Tap 4 taps on the table with your right index finger, then tap your left index on the first and fourth tap of your right finger.. hard isnt it for a non drummer ofc.
Owning a drum kit is a whole other topic, all kit owners I bet are always 100% proud of their kits. I am, definatly cos I have spent ages of time working up the money to buy the hardware.. its all my pocketmoney you know. At the end, playing something that you have been working for, and is your own setup in your own style really makes you feel unique and proud.
lol, im ranting now. Im sorry

Out of the view I got from the experience inside the ArgonathRPG community.
I already know how retarted and idioting he is talking.
Anyways, thanks Miami, for the update about Wash.
I appreciated it, didnt had to meet the ''new wash'' anymore.
-
ok! ok! damn it! I don't have THAT drumset, but the one I own is very similar to it. Strongly similar. The color is Ebony, the only main difference. Also, the cymbals are mostly Sabian on mine (I seem to like them better), and other stuff. It looks, like I said, super similar. After I bought mine (in Macon, GA after seeing it is the closest place marked on Pearl's dealers page) my dad and I took it apart, therefore leading to making the arrangment very close to that of yours. I also had to get an extra hi hat to suit my needs to be both left and right handed. There's one thing I do envy off yours. That sweet finish . But, really. Do I know you?
:ps: When I first bought it, it was a very small set. I then adding more, and more, and more. And seriously, we kinda do the same stuff.

As you have told me before, if you don't like me, then don't talk to me or try to provoke me or annoy me in anyway.. I've reported you to the forum moderators for this.

Sounds like jibberish to me.. lol.
Anyway.. uh, I don't really see what's so big about this whole 'kit' thingy anyway.. but that's just me. :)
let's get back to how i own terry bozzio at drumming because i play with them sticks in between my toes. :D
-
lol bump
Anyway, I have recently started my project and now aiming to have my kit's setup similar to the left side of Mike Portnoy's (from Dream Theater and my most favorite drummer in the whole world's) kit.
This is the left side of his awesome kit, its called the Siamese monster and its two kits combined but the right side is not in this pic, and I have blurred all the hardware im not getting. So when the project is finished which should be by next year, it'll looks awesome!
But anyway, I have rearranged my cymbals and my Rototoms to fit Mike's setup, and this is what I have so far - not much, but after my GCSE exams im planning on spending a ton on the kit, 2nd bass drum, more cymbals etc etc.

Heyas, Ive finally got a vid of me playing my drumkit online.
So here we are, this is a tough piece - its a section of IQ's Sacred Sound, they are a neo-prog rock band.
First of all, too all you other drummers - try counting 4/4 to this!
Add a dash of 13/8, 6½/8 and 7/4 and youve got this.

Since I write lyrics, it is musical stuff.
So, here's what I use:

Nice drum video Miami! ;)

lol thanks :D
-
You use Maths and Algebra for writing lyrics? :D
I knew someone would say that xD.
Lol no, I just caught my notebook off-guard.
My lyrcis usually have "Death" and "Blood" in it. X's, I don't have.
-
Who performs your lyrics?..
-
My friends, those who I got the name for, (Unholy).
-
I write lyrics too, but I've been a little slow, so I haven't wrote that much lately.
-
Lol the only time I attempted to do anything with lyrics was with my friend.. And that went awful :)

I play the drums on GuitarHero Metallica on hard ^^ its very fun :)
-
lool
-
I have an electric and normal piano, i'll post a picture of them when I get a chance. : )
-
I might aswell post a piece of planning for my kit:
I put toghther this model on Google Sketchup of what my kit will look like when 100% finished, which will be a long time.. if lucky then this time next year, but will mostly likely be another 2 years or so. lol
Its quite a biggy, as you can see.. and like ive said before, its based on Mike Portnoy's left side of his kit.
Once its finished, I will find it alot easier to play. Cos on my kit atm, I feel very limited to what I have. The style I play involves alotta sounds and variety, (which I must of picked up from playing Progressive Rock and Dream Theater all the time  )
But yeah there we go, The 13 Piece Metropolis. I can never imagine myself playing a 4 piece kit.
Miami
-
Alrighty guys, my kit is really coming along.
Got a ton of new parts, and hardware. Now, heres the tour of the kit so far, Its been dubed The '12 Piece Concoction' for now.
Heres a view of the full kit, as you can see, its quite a beast. But its still my ikcle baby
Many bits of it are either still being worked on, or are temporary parts and will be replaced later....
Its a part Mapex kit and part Performance Percussion, and I am planning on converting the kit to a full Mapex kit sometime in the future once all other work is done.
Anyways...
2 Snares: Main One, 14"/7", 2nd Snare - 14"/5"
Two Bass Drums, Both 22"/16"
Toms in order are - 10"/7", 12"/10", 13"/11"
Floor Toms: Both 16"/16"
Rototoms: 6", 8", 10" :D
(http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii119/MiamiSforza/DSC00384.jpg)
Those bass drum pedals are temporary as they are total shit, LOL, but, ill be getting some Tama Iron Cobras soon, for other drummers who know what that is.
Also, the far left Snare which is the 2nd Snare is tuned slightly higher and I normally keep the wires off, so it sounds like a high tom. Its got a Remo Legacy LA head on which is rare and not made anymore :)
These are two temporary parts to tell me in future where the new parts will go. The left will become a 2nd hihat, 14", remote pedal. And the right will become a MP Max Stax Cymbal, 10".
I managed to get that Snare, which is a Hohner Perkussion Steel Snare from Portobello Martket in London for £15, it was all rusty, so I took all the rust off, re did alot of it, fixed it up and covered it up all up with a black covering from my old old Snare which was craaaaaaap. But this snare sounds great, its very clean, and the sound is great. But its still not 100%, lol.

Those are my favorite sticks, Zildjian 7A sticks with round tips. Perfect for me, light yet strong.

Overhead shot, was difficult to do cos I was standing on a chair while holding the camera above my head.. took me a few attempts, but finally got a good enough shot.
Also, the cymbal layout will change to how its layed out in the plan above when everything is bought.
Compare how my kit looks now to how it looks like when I posted it on Page 1 ;)
Give me comments, tell me what you think. Also - and this message is for Troy -, a video of me playing this bad boy will be posted soon when I get recording. :)

As far as I know, its me Kaltsu and Troy who has a drumkit, and plays :conf: I could be wrong.
Also, is this topic supposed to be in forum games? Im a little confused.. cos this is more of a discussion and photo posting, than a game. Meh :trust:
I got a new bass drum pedal today, but only got one.. so I still need to buy another one for the other bass drum.
Its a Tama Iron Cobra Power Glide, absolutly fantastic pedal and top of the range
It cost me quite alot for one pedal alone, but personally I think its worth it because this pedal's feel is just out of this world.. its so freakin smooth and EVERYTHING is adjustable! Best pedal ive ever used, and favorite so far :D
