As other people said, I recommend AVG 8.0 aswell. It's free, easy and works.

Update to the latest / newest version... Many complaind about the CPU (ab)use, and it has been reduced (A friend told me, who has a not-so-legal version).

I still use AVG 8.0... no comments, good and fast!

If you want to give you a good antivirus, I can give them to you (-illegal). Add me on msn at [email protected]

I use Malware Bytes along with NOD32, no virus ever lives in my PC :P

And it's not as good as everyone says about it. I will tell my story, and everything is true.

I had firstly Avira antivirus, worked everything nice etc etc.
The bad thing is, that i couldn't get any keys for Avira, thats why i turned to NOD32, as i knew where to get keys from.

Half of year passed, i recently have done full checks, but then, that my "worm" issue appeard (If you read at "Hardware software support" Forum, you know what i mean), i started to scan with NOD, he found nothing. Then i downloaded trial version of Premium security suite, and it found 6 viruses........

After that i made a conclusion to get back to Avira.
