is ther anyway for me to be able to play GTA SA with GeForce 2?
the minimum requirement is GeForce 3
-
I got Intel Intergrated Graphics 64MB, and I can run San Andreas. xD
-
Sure you can try it..

it should work on low graphics, ive run the game on a 32Mb graphics card in my old laptop, graphics were bad but it was playable ;)

I found an old post of mine that should help reduce the lag:
How to get best performance
1. Install the Low Quality Mod
This mod is used to change a lot of the textures and effects to lower quality ones, which will have a significant effect on the game performance:
Low Quality Mod (http://www.mediafire.com/?0mdzxlbwlyc)
2. Change Video Settings
Draw Distance:
Minimum
Frame Limiter:
On and use /fpslimit ingame to set a low FPS somewhere from 30 to 40 (30 will give best performance but least smooth and vise versa for 40). The idea is that you set it lower then your normal FPS so it reduces "random slowing down lag", which especially happens when you are moving loading new textures ingame. However, it reduces the smoothness of the game, you need to find a balance. If you don't already have it, install Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/setup.exe) so that you can see your FPS ingame.
Visual FX Quality:
Low
Anti Aliasing:
Off
Resolution:
640x480x16, but if this is too low for your liking, just set to another resolution but keep it as low as possible and always ...x...x16 for 16 bit colour, not 32 bit colour.
3. Process priority
When running the game, CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to task manager, go to processes tab, find gta_sa.exe, right click and select priority, choose a higher setting. However, not all computers will react the same to the changing of priority. I tried to set it to Realtime on one computer with no problems and reduced lag by about 33% whereas on another computer I had to set it to High as when it was on Realtime, the sound lagged. You can just try out a setting and see how it works for you, but remember, ideally higher is better.
Where I said to limit your fps to somewhere from around 30 to 40, in your case it might have to be 20-30.
If you do those things, I think it should be playable, just don't expect anything fancy (keep in mind that you don't have to do all of them, but it would make the game perform much better).

Listen, I got a XFX 9600 GT XXX, that stupid thing crashed and is back to shop for RMA.
Now at the moment I am playing without videocard, using my onboard integrated graphiccard on my mobo.
And I have to say, until the 60 player mark or some, I am playing without lag, only when there are more then 10 people on one place with a lot of cars.
I can nearly garantuee you that u can play.
Good luck;)!

ok, now all i need is just some space for the game :P
only a 20GB HDD
and already using about 18-19GB
i will only be able to free up a few GBs
could delete
Age of Mythology: The Titans Expansion - 1.35GB
Grand Theft Auto Liberty City(for LCMP) - 1.35GB
Grand Theft Auto Vice City - 1.52GB
Macromedia(Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver) - 352MB
Free space on HDD - 488MB
any suggestions on wt to delete?
i want to also play VCMP at tyms too, and LCMP(dont rele play as much)
AOM: TT, dont rele play that as much(crashes alot)
Macromedia, dont use as often, but could put onto Disk?
its too confusing on wt to keep and wt not to
-
Given what you said, I would delete AOM: TT and GTA LC. I know with the older MX versions of Flash, Fireworks and Dreamweaver, I think you could put them onto a disk and use them as standalone, but I think I had problems doing that on the newer versions, so you would have to check that out first. If you got files that you don't really use, but you want to keep them, you could back them up on disks too then remove them from your computer. Just be careful because if they get corrupted on a disk (from scratches or such), they stay corrupted.
:ps: To add to my small guide on how to get GTA:SA to perform well on slow computers, you might want to check out TOPIC: GTASA EXE v1.0 US - Lowspec Edition (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=25714.0). However, I haven't tested that particular mod.
