Title: [POLL] ASUS Lamborghini
Post by: Custom on March 17, 2009, 10:26:31 pm
Let me hear your opinion, about the ASUS Lamborghini.
Which cover would you prefer?
If you got some extra time besides the voting, then please leave a message, about your opinion on the notebook. Etc. processor, graphic card and such.
Tell me if it's a good notebook, OVERALL.
I am thinking about a VX3, not decided yet because of the prices. But if the VX3 will be way too expensive for me, then I'll for for a VX2SE.
Could be nice if I could get a "VX3 vs. VX2SE" :)
I need as much help as possible on a decission, before I go spent such an ammount.
So please, tell me what you got in your mind :)
:ps: I have uploaded a picture, if you aren't sure of how they look.
Thanks for your time.

Best Regards
Custom

Although I think you pay too much only for the name, I like the yellow one more..just because yellow is my favourite colour AND you don't see them often.

Yellow.

Specs seem.. not very good in my opinion.. :\

Looking at the specs and checking out the price (around $2900 AUD), I definitely agree with Marc on the part of paying for the name and Wash has quite a valid point about the specs. You could get MUCH better specs for the amount of money your willing to pay, if you check out a normal laptop as opposed to getting something brand fancy like this. I've seen laptops with these specs for around $1600 AUD, and that was mid last year!

As for the colour, I prefer black.

I don't really know specs, in fact I do not even know 2/3 of what Janar said..
But I do know colours! I'd go with yellow, cause' it's rare and cool

They're not bad neither, are they?

They're not bad neither, are they?

Nope, but a C2D T7500 and a 8600M GT are just older models. These days they are mostly replaced by a C2D P8400 and a 9600M GT.

Edit: I just noticed (and I had to know that) there are different specs for the same models. Some have better CPU's, some have other graphic cards. Do you have a complete specification of the laptop you want to buy?

But if you think that theese specs are way too low, then please give me some other laptops I can go for. But in that case, don't only look after the specs, look at the design too :)
I mostly prefer ASUS, but if you can't find anything cool made by them, then look a lil' bit on Acer. That's the two brands I got in my mind.

Custom, that yellow laptop is only for kids, so believe us the black one is much better ;)

Custom, that yellow laptop is only for kids, so believe us the black one is much better ;)

I have also been thinking about the black one, just wanted to see how the voting would go ;)
And as you can see, it shows Black: 7, and Yellow 6. And I voted Black (just to see the votes), so it is actually 6-6 atm. Lol
Ok, the voting can keep going, but in the mean time, come with some other laptop/notebook suggestions :)
First of all, the computer I am looking for shall have the right specs to run almost every single game, so it shall definetly be a Gamer-PC, NOTEBOOK/LAPTOP. Second of all it shall have a nice design. And at last, it shall not be too big. MAX 14". Best with something like 12 to 13.
And I aren't sure if I want a macbook.
Let me hear some suggestions!

I would look at getting something with a higher resolution if possible.

Graphic-processor: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M G
For a gaming laptop, you definitely need a better GPU.

And I aren't sure if I want a macbook.
Macbooks fail at gaming.

The rest of the specs look pretty decent, but you may be able to go better on the CPU and maybe the RAM.

ASUS Lamborghini= a computer for spoiled brats that wanna brag on how much money they spend on a normal computer that they could have been having for really less cash. And for what ? A yellow computer that got a lamborghini sign on it. If u ask me, stupidness.

Should'a been white and a bit more big & boxy like a Countach. Then it would be awesome.

Well, I thought the processor was good enough to run almost all games perfectly. Doesn't seem like it anyway...
Ok. I have now dropped the macbook, and maybe also this ASUS-Lamborghini, then let me hear some suggestions, please :)

How much are you willing to pay?

Hmm... Doesnt matter
Just let me hear the notebook(s) you are thinking about.
And please, I am not interrested in self-built computers.
Just let me have some model number of the computer(s) you are thinking about, and tell short, Brand, RAM, CPU, Processor, nothing serious, just something like that, so I know which one you are thinking about :)

No offence, but i ain't a dell lover with their weird casing and thingies..

I would suggest anything from Asus and maybe an Acer.

Keep in mind that the best Lamborghini laptops costs up to min. €1500

There isn't really much difference between that and a 12", so is there any particular reason why you want it so small (especially considering that this is meant to be a gaming laptop)?

Notebook.

Custom, what you want to use laptop for?

Everybody in my school got a notebok, they use in the lessons. So my notebook will be taken to school like everyday (will maybe just use Word or something in school, btut play games 24/7 at home  ).
So for school work and for games. And I guess I will be playing something like GTA 4, Call of duty and such, which requires a good computer.
What about theese specs;

2,5 GHz, 4 GB Ram, 250 GB harddisk, 15.4" WSXGA+ Glare Type
Core2 Duo T9300 Penryn processor
NVIDIA GeForce9500M GS with 512MB
250GB HDD
4096MB RAM
Wireless-N netcard
2megapixel Webcam
VistaUltimate

Good or ?

If you want to get a bigger laptop as 13,3", there are way better ones (if you focus on the graphics card).

15.4" WSXGA+ Glare Type
What's the maximum resolution?

NVIDIA GeForce9500M GS with 512MB
You could get a much better GPU.

250GB HDD
What's the RPM? Most good laptops come with a much bigger hard disk.

4096MB RAM
DDR2 or DDR3?

I dont evenb think that's important right now, as it seems like I could get a much better one with CPU, and graphic card, which is most importantlyafter what I see
So I think I have to find soem other notebook :(

Hmm... Let's try a ASUS Lamborghini VX3 VS. VX2SE

The VX3:
MotherBoard: Mobile Intel PM965 Express (1 GB)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM
Display: 12.1 tomme / 1280 x 800 / TFT
HDD: 320 GB, 5400 rpm
Videomemory: 256 MB
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 9300M G

VS.

The VX2SE:
MotherBoard: Mobile Intel PM965 Express (800 MB)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 SDRAM
Display: 15.4 tomme / WSXGA+ / TFT
HDD: 250 GB, 5400 rpm
Videomemory: 512 MB
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS

Anything else needed?

The GPU on the VX3 is worse then the GPU on the VX2SE.

The GPU on the VX3 is worse then the GPU on the VX2SE.

Hmm.. I also heard that the VX2SE's fan makes much noise, so ASUS have improved the fan on the VX3. There is a big difference of the fan's..
But seriously, if I find both on the same price, like $1800, then I shall not buy ?
They aint worth to buy or ?
