I know this board is for this site, but the ARPD site doesn't have a section, and this one doesn't say it's only for the main site, so if it's in the incorrect spot, let me know.
Anyway, on to the idea!:
The idea I had in mind on the ARPD site, due to the fact that most users now have multiple ranks in multiple servers, I think it's time we add custom fields that display in user's profiles and posts (in the profile area) similar to the username ones, but instead being ones that state what your ARPD rank is on each server.
For example: If I am an Officer on MTA:VC, Cadet on SA:MP, FreeCop/Citizen on VC:MP, and a S.W.A.T. Member on MTA:SA, normally only one of my ranks would be displayed on the forum. It would be nice if there was a field stating the user's rank for each server, that they could not edit, but the appropriate administration could like they can now. That also frees up the current rank field, allowing the ARPD to use it for something else as they please.
Also, the current system on the main forums that displays the usernames used in-game would be nice to have on the ARPD forums as well. I would also suggest making a board such as this on the ARPD forums for integrity of on-topic posting.
Example:
[Forum Username Here]
[Original Rank Field Here]
[Stars Here]
[Post Count Here]
[Title Here]
Nick In Game: Name1, Name2, Etc.
MTA:VC Rank: Officer
SA:MP Rank: Cadet
VC:MP Rank: Citizen
MTA:SA Rank: S.W.A.T. Member

Maybe have it as:
[Forum Username Here]
[Custom Text/Title Here] instead of [Original Rank Here]
[Stars Here]
[Post Count Here]
[Title Here]
Nick In Game: Name1, Name2, Etc.
MTA:VC Rank: Officer
SA:MP Rank: Cadet
VC:MP Rank: Citizen
MTA:SA Rank: S.W.A.T. Member

Maybe have it as:
[Custom Text/Title Here] instead of [Original Rank Here]
Well the custom text is down below, so it would be hard to move that up, but the original rank field is built in. Unless they are willing to mod the core files, not much can be done there. The other issue there is that access to certain parts of the forum may be based on rank, depending on how they have it set up. The advantage with our ideas though is that if they don't depend on rank to give access, they can set it manually like they already do if you already have a rank on another one of the servers.
I would like to see access not be based on rank, as that presents issues already for admins. Base it all on manual set-up, or if you're feeling really cocky, on what's in each custom server rank field using a custom script. Although that script would be tough to make, if the ARPD administration just had to set one little field, it could give them the appropriate access to that part of the forum without anymore work, and forum ranks would be a thing of the past, leaving the field open for other ideas, including Josh's! :)
Also, I'd love to see some more work between the F.B.I., S.W.A.T., S.A.T.P., S.A.B.D., and S.A.P.D./V.C.P.D. on keeping up to date what people's ranks are on each site. If someone is an officer in SAPD and gets accepted as a FBI cadet, things should be updated accordingly instead of waiting for forgetful users to say something. Maybe adding a special hidden area on the ARPD or Argonath RPG site that only administration from those groups/divisions can access where they can display user updates that other administration from the other groups can read so they can adjust things accordingly? I have no idea on how to combat this due to each site being different and being on different domains using separate ranking systems, but it would be nice to keep things organized and updated.

I think it should be posted to ARPD forum, but whatever.
It would make every post left side bigger and post size bigger.
Maybe showing main rank on posts and other ranks can be seen on profile page.
Btw, MTA:SA doesn't have ARPD yet

I think it's just not needed and it should stay only on/for ARPD site..

ARPD site/forums will be soon changed to the experimental form... So wait for that and post on ARPD site when it will be out...
