as the topic says, it will come in handy if we could delete our own topics, not justs the posts.. :P

I think you can.. Atleast, I can... For me, there's a button named 'Remove topic' on the bottom-left corner.

I believe this is for "Administration" ranks only.

I strongly dislike the idea, as it would bring a major ammount of topcis being deleted without an appropriate reason, which is not likely going to be aproved by main administration.

If it's your own topic, then why are you yourself not allowed to delete it? :conf:

There is a lot of useful stuff in most players' topics and if they decide to delete it just like that, because they would not need it anymore or are just simply leaving, it would prevent other forum users from reading this topic or even replying in it.
I think it is not necessary, but this is only my personal opinion.

We do not allow to delete your own topics because:
1. User can avoid a punishment (using forum for short time flame topics when the target of flame is online with deleting it to remove the proof of reports)...
2. User can remove topics, which have already answers (ex. flame/spam/flood), which is a bad tone by internet etiquette...
3. No sense as user has the "edit" option...
4. To prevent numerous childish actions "ah so you all did not like my topic! then I will remove it"...
5. To prevent fake accusations against administration or community (writing a flame topic, provoking the fight between users then removing own topic and accuse community in a flame attacks)
