Title: MTA: SA Problem
Post by: Omri on March 23, 2009, 01:01:55 pm: I've recently just installed Windows XP again to my laptop as allways, but I am having this wierd problem when I press at the .exe when I am trying to run the program. I have had this error once but I do not remember how I fixed it or anything, I may think its something about my graphic card but I don't know specific.

I have attached a screenshot with the error message I get when I try to launch the program.

DP 2.3 / Higher (nightly) or Lower (DP 2.2 , Working with the old fashioned MTA Serial)

Did you downgrade your version of GTA to 1.0 already?

The version is allready 1.0, I don't know the problem but I just think thats meant I shall not play MTA:SA at my laptop.

Yes I have tried installing MTA:SA, and now this comes when I try to start the game.

I've downloaded it since I installed GTASA and it can maybe be therefor I have not been able to play Single Player and MTA: SA.
Because look at this, the games that requires the intros aint working the only game that is not required the normal intro is SA:MP and that is the only program that works, it may sound confusing but I think that is the problem and going to try to solve when I get home.

That could be the problem, never heard of this problem before, but hope it fix its, Omri. ;)

Hmm.. I'm running out of idea's, try deleting the gta.set file, yes, you have most likely tried this..

I've tried that, and tommorw I will try get a new GTA SA CD to install it instead of just copying the files from my computer as I also have screwed up SA:MP now at my laptop.

Post by: Omri on March 27, 2009, 11:42:58 am: I'm giving up, every time I find the solution of a problem I am getting a new problem, I am sick and tired of that and therefor I am giving up. Its the faith that I shall not play MTA:SA from my laptop, but I gotta accept it.
Don't lock this topic yet, I might try something new when I get home but I am not sure that is going to work.

Not anymore, but I am reinstalling the entire Windows XP at my laptop now.
