I was thinking, when people change names, they leave their old account behind, which will also be registered, maybe a command could be built that unregisters your current account after you have transfered your account.
Example
Player1: !send Player2 2000
Player2: Ok, go change your name.
Player1: Brb
...
Gangster1 has joined the game
Player2: !send gang 2000
Gangster1: Thanks
...
Player1 has joined the game
Player: !unregaccount

I prefer a changename command. also the only thing where this is good for is the Argonath Database, And ppl who want that account name.
But for example you do !unregaccount and your name was Player1, and your new name will be [CLANTAG]Player1, then you got kicked or you leave the clan, you want to go back on Player1 acc but it's allready registered by someone else.

Isn't there a /msg changename command?
EDIT: Hmm, thought this was the MTA:VC section... but the question can stand.
-
I suggested it some time ago :

I had a command like this in the new scripts ( /c delaccount) but it wasen't removing the accounts properly from the hash file.

I wanted a changename command, but Klaus didn't like the idea...

Yes, the change name command should solve this problem.

People registering new accounts to change name, it's messy for us Admins checking Aliases.
-
We need a changename command. That's all.
-
But my question is that when you change name would the old one be available?

Agreed.

Yes, since it's the same account. Only the name changes. nothing else, you just use /c changename [OLD NAME], if you want it back

Check Salmonella's topic about the "Changename Idea".
This should be included in the upcoming scripts.
