I have ingame lags , Its like when i stand near alot of people or cars my game lags and it runs slow but not only that(all time lagging)..so hard to move..I tried to put the resolution low but didnt help, If anybody know what shall i do please tell me. :)
-
When playing, do you have a lot of programs still running in the background? Windows Live, WinAmp etc?
-
Did your game always lag or did this only start happening recently?
If you want tips on improving your game performance, take a look at here (http://www.argonathrpg.eu/forum/index.php?topic=29118.0).
-
I only run xfire while im playing but xfire doesnt matter, because i tried to play without xfire but still lagging :S.
-
Did your game always lag or did this only start happening recently?
uh?
-
Nah the lags started like 5 days ago.
-
Around when this started happening, did you install any new software or change any of the system/graphics settings?
-
Hmm..from 2 weeks ago i didnt install anything, But this lag started suddenly. And I only got GTA San Andreas on my computer xD, That means my computer is clean and not full, so why its lagging?
-
Can you run the game, then Alt+Tab out, Ctrl+Alt+Delete (Ctrl+Shift+Delete for Vista) to your task manager and screen shot all the processes, like this (http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/7774/taskh.jpg).
-
I know this , I do it everytime when i open my computer :).
-
Not everyone does, so I assume otherwise.
-
I remove the things in system too? ( In task manager).
-
What do you mean "remove the things"? :trust:
If by that you mean ending the processes, don't end something if you don't know how it effects your system, especially the system ones.
If your talking about the screen shot, I'd rather see everything.
-
I mean i end the process, But when i start my computer i end all of things like MSN,Skype etc and only i keep explorer and my antivirus.
-
In that case, I wouldn't recommend touching the system processes.
-
I know I never touch it. but i still dont know why im lagging, Hmm maybe because my internet is tired?
-
The internet affects your ping, but it shouldn't affect your game performance.
-
Oh right my ping isnt changed. :)
-
This is a long shot, but do you have any idea if your GPU is overheating and do you use a laptop?
-
I really dont know whats GPU? Nah i dont use laptop.
-
GPU stands for graphics processing unit, as in your graphics card. In the event that it overheats too much, it may force itself to under perform until it cools down, but if there's a problem with the cooling, it'll stay like that.
-
Anyway I can check if theres problem?
-
If you want to see if your GPU is overheating, you need to get a temperature monitoring software like Everest, though that's not free. There are some free ones, but I'm not sure on the names, so you'll have to google some.
Ok I found a good free one, google "pc wizard".
-
Ok got it now, You mean CPU or GPU?
-
You should check both. Play ingame for a while, then Alt+Tab out and check the readings.
-
I only see CPU in the motherboard, So i check the temperatures?
-
If there's a problem, it's most likely the GPU, but if you can't see the GPU, then you should check the options or maybe your graphics card doesn't have a sensor. What graphics card do you have? I've read that speedfan should show the GPU, but I don't know first hand because I use other programs (I've tried programs before that were meant to show the GPU, but for some reason only showed the CPU). I have pc wizard though (free) and that one shows the GPU.
-
ATI X1650 Series.
-
I did some googling and apparently, some people with your graphics card can't see the temperature from Speedfan either, so either try PC Wizard or try ATI Tool (http://www.overclock.net/faqs/108855-how-enable-temperature-monitoring-ati-tool.html) (since it's from ATI, I'm assuming it'd be more reliable).
-
With this program i can see if my GPU is overheating?
-
It's shows the GPU temperate, so yes.
-
How to use it? XD :S
-
Which one did you get? :D
If it's PC Wizard:
If it's ATI Tool, you're going to have the read the guide on the link I posted because I don't have that.
-
First one 0.26
-
You're going to have to read the guide (http://www.overclock.net/faqs/108855-how-enable-temperature-monitoring-ati-tool.html) then.
-
Shall i download PC Wizard?
-
Can't you get ATI Tool working? :trust:
-
I downloaded 0.26 but I dont know how to use it .
-
Then you can try PC Wizard.
-
Dammit no GPU temper.
-
Then figure out how to get ATI Tool working. The temperature monitoring probably needs to be enabled somehow and ATI Tool apparently is where you do it (according to the guide atleast).
-
I dont know, But cant the CPU show if theres problem or? I dunno.
-
If there's an overheating problem, I doubt it's the CPU.
-
The CPU temp is 50-55.
-
If you want, you could open up your computer and check if there dust or something clogging up the GPU vents (if you don't know how, don't), though I still recommend that you try and get that ATI program working.
Keep in mind that I put overheating as a unlikely cause, so it may or may not be overheating, though it doesn't hurt to check and I don't really have any other ideas (except if your GPU or other hardware is faulty, but that's even less likely and cannot be fixed) at this point. :\
-
Thanks Kitsune anyways I will ask my cousin later :) ;) :hurray:
-
No probs, I hope you can get it fixed soon. :P
-
Fixed. ^^ :hurray:
-
That's great, but just out of curiosity, how did you fix it?
-
I asked my cousin, It was almost GPU problem :P
