Title: Fallout 4 & Fallout MMORPG
Post by: EliteTerm on March 28, 2009, 10:13:49 am
There's word that they will make Fallout 4 within 3yrs, and someone mentioned about a MMORPG version of Fallout. This would be very interesting, and create some ideas about the rumored upcoming games.

We should post some ideas and predict what they will have, for example: what is  the next city to be turned into a post-apoloaypse wasteland? What weapons they might add? What new monsters? Or think up some sort of a quest. Which vault the player will live in, or is born in the wastelands? What new factions?

Just use your imagination and post ideas about the next Fallout!

Making Fallout 4 as a MMORPG would be awsome, I think it will be a big hit in the gaming world.

There have been rumors of an Oblivion MMO, too.

Not a really good idea imho.

It's a good idea, you can RP with your friends, Like becoming raiders, becoming brotherhood of steel paladins etc. I'd like to go hunting super mutants with my friends :D And about fallout 4, hope they will add more humor like fallout 2

The game, Fallout 3, itself failed: The only diffirence between Fallout 3 and Oblivion is: New storyline, new items and new characters and added some few options. Nothing else changed. The old, same Oblivion.

I think the MMO idea itself isn't that nice....maybe a multiplayer with 10 players but not more....

Yeah, just like GTA games. New storyline, new map, new characters, weapons, functions... Still the same old game, you know? When Vice city got released, did you think "OMG THIS IS A RIPOFF OF GTA III!!!! BS!!" when you were playing it?

fallout 3 is not like Oblivion at all. When you're sweeping the wasteland you don't think "OMG DIS IS FAIL, ITS TOTALLTYTY OBLIVION WITH GUNS!!!" I don't know if you have played it / read the storyline, but you really get dragged in by the atmosphere and then it becomes the uberomgwtfbbq rpg game..

And why would the MMO fail? Why just ten players online?

(( IGN gave Fallout a score of 9.7/10 and "one of the finest game of our generation" :P))

No, but fallout is not much like Oblivion at all.

He wants to throw shit on the game because he couldn't understand the point of the game

I did think, as it was a total copy GTA III. Nothing else was added totaly. Same goes for GTA:SA - Exept for "Gangsta-style yahoooo" concept of Storyline and elements for stamina and muscle added, nothing else changed. Same as for like games like CoD, Crysis. Developers nowadays are too lazy to create something really new from the sequals. That was a big minus to the game. And in my eyes, it also failed. But i didn't said that i didn't like to play them. Although, after going from 3 Dog Night ( Or wtf was the name of that radio DJ), my game kept crashing for some odd reason after leaving from his house, so i stopped playing, and my journey in F3 has ended..
Exeption is Splinter Cell series after Chaos Theory. They added a new concept to the game itself of a Double Agent, and in the next Conviction (still, Developers are retards: still not releasing the game when it was about to release 4 times), you'll be in conception of AC in nowadays.

Maybe it does. But not for me. Maybe because i'm not fan of fancy future with nuclear endings. I like more Star Wars-like fiction. It's a totaly my IMO.

Why would it fail? Well, just imagine 1000 players in such a little world running around.

He wants to throw shit on the game because he couldn't understand the point of the game
Yeh, maybe i'm also an immature kid who needs to get a life? Man, show some respect. I told my opinion and what you want to say to increase your post count is: "Omg shit thrower, he doesn't knows the game, etcetc"

For those, who wants to furtherly argue: This is all my IMO.

Fallout MMO ? Awesome...specially if it would be just one world...filled with players...bec...10 players in that size of a map would suck...and Whats cool about games anyways ? its always the same shooting...but always a different storyline...I believe the next city would be on mentioned in the game by a Brotherhood outcast...I believe it was something In california...Where the Brotherhood base was...it would be interesting to have a guy wich would be Brotherhood since the begining...doing missions for them..Not like...getting into the brotherhood on the last mission in wich he dies...or not...

I'm thinking the game time period for Fallout 4  should be from 2066 to 2088, the start of the invasion and after the bombs fell. The player could be living during that period, maybe his/her family can't afford a spot in one of the Vaults and had to hide in a bomb shelter under the house.

I dunno, what ya think?

:ps: I like that idea about the brotherhoods in the westcoast.

Well when there would be an mmorpgs, I suppose they would make a big land with 5 cities or so...

You would start in 2088 and other people would be in the vault ( ranging from 20 - 100 ) .. Everyone wants to be the leader of course because you can set everything you want. After a while the leader can also decide to open the vault for the other members, or you can just be killed if you are a dictator ( He can pay his guards well of course to protect him ) All the other people would be in other vaults and actually go out of it. After that your journey begins. You will notice little hideouts where you can buy stuff ( You can simply buy every interior that's still in contact and edit it fully! ).

You can also be a mutant they have hideouts too where they buy stuff and yeah... Nevermind

I don't think an MMORPG of fallout would come.

Doesn't Fallout 2 have a Online mod? I think I've heard of it on /v/. Along with the server.
