Haven't played HL2, but HL1 is great! And there's a SHITLOAD of mods for HL1 (at least for the older, pre-steam version - all versions to 1.1.1.0)

Did you complete the single player for HL1? If yes, how long did it take you?

You should watch the HL Speed-run after you completed HL (NOT before, it could spoil some nice moments).

I watched it before I buyed it. :P
I also followed the Freeman's Mind series.. so I knew some of the events comming. But I am not dissaopinted at all to see it all again. (because now I can really feel it when I play it, I don't get that when I see a youtube video). :)

I am now in the elivator thing in Half Life 1, when you go down, and then all that little head monsters falls down to grab you.. I died there accidently, then I started playing Half Life 2 because I needed to start over again at the point where I saved my mission!!!

This is also the first time that I am playing a game with aliens, monsters and stuff, normally I am scared as hell. (I am also now... but I learned myself that it is normal when I play such games)

By the way, anyone played the HL1 demo? (Half-Life: Uplink)

It's great if you ask me, it's like a side episode to the full game.

Where in the end you face up to Gargantua and the game is "To be continued"? If that IS one, then yeh, i did. In the 1.1.1.0

Loved this game very much, completed it when i was about 8 years old ( no srsly ), although, i was too unexperienced in English so i did the game in 1-2 weeks.

IF AND ONLY IF you've finished Half-Life 2, check out: http://www.hlcomic.com

It's a comic based on what happened in the game from the eyes of Gordon Frohman who is meant to be some kind of retarded version of Gordon Freeman or something, but it's HILARIOUS!!!

It's about 500 TIMES better if you already finished the game, so I strongly advise against reading it otherwise. :D

Greetings, kidman, but America was already discovered ! :) No offence, but i've already created topic about this HL-Comic uh.....half-a-year ago. But comic really is hillarious.

I looked some IG movies and i saw how my friend played it. It's not as bad as FEAR 1/2 :(. I'm so damn scared from that little girl and her horrible powers.

EDIT: Okay then, i called everyone randomly as "kid" and noone was against to, fixed.

That would've been helpful six months ago and referring to me as kid is actually very offensive.

In Half Life 2, I am now in "We don't go to Ravenholm"

And there the real scarry things come... I now pause the game and try Portal now..

But all chapter before are all nice.. Dog is very cool to have (I wish I could get it in Real Life... *sniff*) and the waterboat missions just kick ass alot...

It seems that I am not really suitable yet to play Sience-Fiction Horror games yet.. (Yeahyeah.. the age warning on the box could have warned me.. but Mirror's Edge doesn't effect me alot, since it gives me the same feeling as movies do, and that game has 16+ on his box)

Anyway.. Half Life is cool in it's way, and Valve really rocks at making games. Even more then Rockstar Games do because Valve really listens to their community.. Rockstar Games try's, but fails in it. (see for example in GTA IV Multiplayer... it is far less kicking ass as MTA:SA is *sniff*)

Anyway.. I let Half Life 2 as it is.. I still gonna try Half Life Source how that feels.

And I agree that Half Life series are one of the best games ever made...

I used a kinda code in the console of all Half Life's, and skipped the missions I did not like..

The ending of Episode 2 is just... made me cry, how very good that is made..  :( :bye:

I wished that more of such movie elements in games genre comes.. I like it alot! (only not the zombies :'(

If that video was sped up to 900%, I wouldn't need to say that I know 5 year olds that can count better.

Try Portal, its from the HL series, but the thing is that Portal is the paralel story of HL. Instead of Black Mesa, you have Aperture Science Laboratory, which is the ''oponent''.

Maybe you aren't familiar with Nostalgic Critic's 5 second movies. Titled 5 seconds but the actual video is longer.

Yes, you never stop loving HL1 if you were on when it released till now.
Download mods and stuffs, quite funny to find more 'expansions'. Anyway, HL2 is also cool.
A bit more to scary than the first one though, to much realistic, anyway, it's like a puzzle game :P
Great games.

Great games.
The only scareness i found was at Ravenholm.
And no shit, it's really a puzzle game, because of the features Source Engine can give.
