Soundtrack is good.
Graphics are good.
Controlling and camera work is crap, I don't like it.
And I don't like the game's timeline/atmosphere. I prefer the 80's and 90's.

I think it still is better than GTA3/Vice City/SA single players.

I still have this game on Xbawcks two years back. I love Mafia, SO cannot wait for Mafia 2.

EDIT:Also, since it's in the fifties, it'll be better than the first one. That IS if it's as good a story as the first one.

Exept for the "Better than Godfather" everything else is BS :D. There are games like: Half-Life 2, Crysis, other games that have better AI/Graphics/Sounds. Live with it.

I also played it alot and completed 3 times. The game is very epic and it has a great atmosphere. Can't wait for Mafia 2, only i hope it won't fakin' lag like GTA IV.

He meant it was the best when it was released... Be serious..
It still is better than Crysis, though.

Who should add what?

Ye, I sure that AI is smart, as u can see the pedestrians on the streets and vehicles
They change their walks style, smoke, talking, cross the street, waiting train, call taxi, etc.
And the police pull over with ticket is cool!

Well be "Attentive" it was for advertising, u know advertising? make something interesting?

The whole my post wasn't even directed to you...
AI Doesn't look smart as it is. They smoke only with scripts during missions, same does with calling taxi (EXEPTION: If you drive it yourself and someone wants him for you to pickup)

Quality doesn't mean the graphics ...
Look in the last one

It's a game of 2003, and all theese "advertisements" already lived them out. Who wanted to play it, already played, who didn't....well, they lost preety much. Nothing else to advertise here .

lmao u don't understand the word "advertise"

It's mean, make a game more interesting to play, like inviting them to join!
For someone else who didn't know or play it yet.

About animation during missions...
They (AI) does those animations when you are not in missions...
You must discover it out.

Well, if you take industrial language, it's actually called PR..

Uh, maybe you should discover that there's not. Noone smoked, called another taxis, they even don't cross roads normally. Waiting for train and changing walking styles = That's what they only can do in Free Ride.

Mafia II trailer is cool!!!
Liked everything in it except cathedral :( :)... One thing stops me from "wow" - every trailer is looking much more better then game itself... As usually has cut scenes instead of gaming (of cos, record gameplay itself - none will buy :))

As about Mafia game - do not know why that time and now people still think its the best graphics ever... I myself did not like human models, especially with its "clewed" faces sorry...
Agreed with Grzesiek about handlings...

But storyline was good... Better then any GTA storyline... Though I think it will have the future of GTA - more far - more shitty storyline...

Unfortunately that's how it is at pretty much all games I've seen :(
I usually go on YouTube and search "<gameName> gameplay" to see how it really is :)

Mafia looks pretty cool, but are we even sure they're gonna release MP?

Well, it's been 7 years untill part 2 released...
Maybe we have to wait another 4-5 years for MP  :poke:

How different between Mafia and The Godfather

Some is better, Some is worse

So I think it's:

Up to Person!

For me, Mafia is the best free roam there is. It's a serious game. It's not child play. It's a cinematic and historical experience. Rather than plain fun full of action game. Mafia was what GTA is trying to be.
You can talk all the shit you want about the graphics. But look at GTA3 and see what game has the better graphics. Mafia beats GTA3 in lots of aspects.

I'm a "those were the days" kind of guy. And that was what I loved about GTA:VC. The 80's. But then I played Mafia and I seriously fell in love by that game.
Cause I like the 80's far more than the depressing 30's, but Mafia. It's serious business. It's almost like being in a History channel documentary. The historical references. The people around the burning can in fairplay chapter, the suicidal man. The licour.

My favorite mission is the "At the party".

Well. I was watching a gameplay footage of Mafia II and I got a bit disappointed.
They pussied out the game. There isn't half the recoil there was on the first one. The cover system is a total rip off from GTA4.

You r absolutely right!

I love the main theme!  ;)

And I like:

Right click to sit in car (Drive, passenger, back, front)
Right click when in car to turn off engine, then exit
Fueling vehicle in gas station
Transporting by train
Picking up passenger when on taxi duty
Baseball Bat
Thompston Machinegun
Police Pull over and ticket
Police cuff (arrest)
Police shoot (death wanted)
And the rest of it!

Well, one thing that seriously pissed me off in Mafia was the fact that when you re-attempted a mission the enemies we're like "ready" for you.

In Godfather, even if you have the fastest car then the enemies are still 2x faster than you.

I stopped playing Mafia after the racing mission, I have played through Godfather 2 times.

And you're saying that Mafia is worse than The Godfather? You did not even play through a third of the game. It's no easy peasy ... The Godfather has been made in 2006 and gameplay-wise the car handling is RUBBISH, most of the graphics are RUBBISH, there is basically no story at all and so on ...
