In reality many hundreds of years ago when dragons roamed the earth and lived freely amongst humans these magnificent creatures were considered to be good luck and were feared by no one, they were peaceful, kind, beautiful creatures and they lived only by eating the ashes surrounding volcanoes and lived for many thousands of years Amongst all of the dragons that roamed the earth there was one in particular, he was the biggest, strongest, most beautiful and had the purest heart of all the dragons, he was considered by his kind to be the king and ruler over all of dragon kind, he was known as the Dragon Heart. All dragons looked up to him for guidance when they needed it and the humans saw him as the source of good luck that flowed through all of the other dragons From the dawn of time dragons lived in peace with each other, but this was not to last. Three dragons had been keeping secret desires of being the new dragon king and each one believed their hearts to be purer than the Dragon Hearts. Each one was unaware of the other two and had been secretly making friends and allies ready for the day they would be strong enough to challenge the King to his thrown Eventually one of the dragons felt the time was right to make a move on the Dragon Heart, he gathered his allies and marched upon the king and declared his intentions, "leave your thrown or we will take it from you" the king was shocked by this and word of this unthinkable act quickly spread amongst all other dragons, the two other pretenders to the thrown quickly responded to what had happened and also marched upon the king demanding his thrown Unable to agree as to who should rule as king, fighting quickly broke out between the three dragons and their followers. The world had never seen anything like this before, the humans trust in dragons was being broken, dragon reputation as peaceful creatures was starting to become a lie, for the first time in history dragon kind was divided and in a state of civil war The king was saddened by what was happening and unsure what to do, he knew he was the cause of this unrest and the first war between dragon kind was due to him, He called for a meeting between him and the three dragons. They talked, debated and argued for many days and were unable to come to a satisfactory conclusion, all three wanted to rule but only the dragon with the purest heart could be king, the war grew worse with each passing day and the king knew something needed to be done before it went too far In desperation the king took a very unusual step, he removed his beating heart and split it into three pieces, the king forced the pieces into each of the three dragons and told them "I have divided my power between the three of you, if any of the pieces were to die then it will also kill me". The kings heart was so pure that the three dragons instantly saw the error of their ways and vowed to stop the war, they agreed to live in peace as they once did and to keep their king alive It is said that the four dragons still survive to this day and are the last of their kind, the three dragons each with one piece of the purest dragon heart ever to have existed, living in peace keeping their king alive, it's unknown where they are but it is said that if you were to find them and gaze upon them then you would be blessed with great luck for the rest of your days. |

China was invaded and the emperor overthrown, a group of fighting monks were set up to protect the new powerful emperor from harm. Over many years these monks themselves became very powerful and the emperor instead of feeling protected by them felt threatened The emperor ordered his military to destroy the monks before they became to powerful to stop. The monks were attacked as ordered but some escaped to safety, 18 in total got away and out of those 18 monks 5 formed their own secret organisations who vowed to overthrow the emperor and return the original bloodline to the thrown This was the very start of the Triads but was not yet the Triads we see today, over time the monks formed new fighting techniques and secret codes so each of the five organisations could comunicate in secret with each other. These 5 organisations over many years sank more and more into criminal activity to help fund them and their cause, criminal activity eventally became the norm and this was to continue until the present day During the 20th century the Triads had a major struggle against the communists which the communists emerged as victors. The Triad members fleed the country and were dispersed across most of the world. Although this might have seemed like a bad time for the Triads it was infact the seed of their success today, by being split up across the world they were forced to form smuggling routes around the world Today the Triads have factions in almost every major city in the world, they use their established smuggling routes to move their illegal drugs and weapons around. Out of the many factions that operate within the US one of the more pwerful was the "Black Dragon Triad Cartel" who set up base in The state of San Andreas with their main trade of drugs revolving around the city of San Fierro along with a small amount weapons trading. During the late 1980's they were challenged by most other major gangs and families for turf and a slice of the drugs trade that they had a stranglehold on. The Black Dragons were severely damaged by the constant attacks and as a result went into a semi dormant state with very little activity from them for many years. Now during the early 90's there seems to be a resurgence of activity from the Black Dragons but it seems to be centering around the city of Los Santos The Black Dragons base their structure on the Myth of the Dragon Heart which is shown in the way their hierarchy is set up, The Dragon Heart and three other main leaders all vow to remain loyal to each other and rule in a kind but strict manor. Since the re emergence of the Black Dragons they seem to be doing things a little differently, during the San Fierro years they had only one division that dealt with all aspects of the gun and drug dealing trade, now since their return they are using a more sophisticated structure that splits the organisation into specialist divisions, each dealing with it's own part of the business. They seem to have quite a hold on Los Santos with many ties to local business and a well established smuggling and dealing trade. It seems like they're here to stay this time, time will tell. |
