Title: FA cup Final
Post by: dan_lcfc on May 19, 2007, 05:24:43 pm
Ok the second half of the FA cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea has just begun and the first half was cr*p. Is anyone else watching it?

Because I have my english GCSE exam on Tuesday I will practice by reporting on the first half.

Well the first half was not the spectacle that the build up had suggested. As far as I can see there is no enjambment in the half. Also there is no end stopping.
The main theme of the match is a very defensive one. We can see this through the way that the ball is being played across the back of the defences. Another theme is that hte two teams are plying very sloppy football. There is alot of people giving passes away which should easily gat there, but instead players are intercepting it.
The way that Rooney is being caught offside alot shows that he is very anxious to get behind the defence and it is getting him into trouble because he is arguing with the referee.
Perhaps the teams are saving themselves for extra time and possibly penalties, but the second half needs to be a big improvement on teh first if this game will be anything that we were expecting from the best two teams in the country. (Apparently) If these teams carry on like this, I think that Leicester City could beat them, and although I support them, that is saying something.

More things would have happened if Leicester were playing, even if it wasnt football related.

Both teams played shit, sloppy passing games and the only part of that match that was mildly entertaining was the commentators sarcasm.

also dan u forgot to mention any juxtaposition

I don't support either (http://na.setanta.com/images/setanta/portal/teampages/football/england/chelsea_50x50.gif) or (http://www.rivercitysports.com/team_logos/soccer_logos/manchesterunited.gif) but I don't like Van De Sar or Ryan Giggs where as I like Frank Lampard and John Terry so I was supporting Chelsea for that match. Brilliant goal at the last 5 minutes of extra time by Didier Drogba and what a brilliant atmosphere.

I support (http://www.jobserve.com/Images/Logos/WestHamUnited.gif) even though we have had an extremely bad season. We beat (http://www.rivercitysports.com/team_logos/soccer_logos/manchesterunited.gif) though with the help of Carlos Tevez .

If Van De Sar didn't come out so early, then Van De Sar probably would have been able to save it. So Drogba was pretty lucky.

If it was up to me, a big hurricane would have come along and taken all of the players away. I hate Man Utd and Chelsea. I also hate people from Leicester who say they 'support' them because they wear the shirt and watch them on ITV 5 times a year. Some of my mates have never been to see them play .. I've have seen them play more times when they have played Leicester in various competitions.

LCFC 4 LIFE!!!!!
