The only thing people will probably point out is that you have an ATI graphics card and you should've bought nVidia. But the computer seems to be l33t.

Nice Computer  :)

You could raise the Processor to about 3GB so it will perfectly work

Note: Don't mind who told you you should have to buy nvidia , Your ATI is perfect ;).

Otherwise great computer, but the graphics card is kinda bottleneck for the other components. Problem that most "stock" computers in different stores have.

You dont even need 12 GB RAM since NONE OPERATING SYSTEM SUPPORTS UP TO 12 GB RAM and cannot use it 100% Also, agree with IcyAero, the GPU is BOTTLENECK beside to other components.

its a great system but you mentioned lag in SAMP..

If you stil have that, just change your fps limit.. it may be kinda low..
try set it to maybe  /fpslimit 100 since i run on that normally... if its not FPS then its a graphics setting..
also take frame limiter off for smoother game play..   ;)

Thanks. But i find this kinda strange because gta is an old game. So i tough whit this pc gta will be easy to run. But when i play samp it laggs more then my old pc. My ping is very low. I will try it this command still exsist? And 12 gb in the pc is for nothing why it cant use 100 percent baecause of hardware or software?? When it will exsist what shoul i change to run on 12 gb ?? hard drive processor graphic card?

Well, the thing is. There is currently no OS which will use all of it's availible 12GB RAM. Maybe the next windows will. but vista can maximum use 4GB as far as i know. Dunno. I have 4GB and it uses 4GB Max. So.

Windows Vista can support up to 128GB of RAM.
This depends on which version of Vista you have, of course.

Windows Vista Basic: 8GB of RAM.
Windows Vista Premium: 16GB of RAM.
Business 64bit till Ultimate: 128 GB of RAM.

Windows Vista Premium: 16GB of RAM.
Those are the 64-bit figures. For 32-bit Basic and Premium, it's 1GB and 4GB respectively.

Do you have frame limiter enabled in the GTA:SA display options and if so, do you use the /fpslimit command when you're playing SA:MP?
Title: Re: Buyed new pc. is it a good one?
Post by: samiir on May 18, 2009, 03:52:33 pm
its enabled but i never used that commands. i will try it :). because i buyed a new pc for samp because i had an old one and now it laggs worst :s
Title: Re: Buyed new pc. is it a good one?

Then that probably explains your lag. By default, /fpslimit is set to 20, which means that if you don't change it (change it by typing /fpslimit 20-100), you'll get very choppy game play. Lower numbers are choppier and higher numbers are smoother, but if it's too high and your PC can't handle that much FPS, you'll get "fps lag", which happens randomly, like when loading lots of textures.

128GB of RAM is for huge servers. :)

No one in their right mind would buy that amount of RAM, for a home PC.. D:

I myself have similar specifications, however a better graphics card and a better CPU. I've never experianced any lag, in any game that I have ever played.. I find it extremly wierd you're getting lag. It must be your version of SA..

I did /fpslimit 100 it works better now but not perfect like i exepted i setted my graphic settings on low quality but it laggs more then high quality lol myabe its because of my 22 inche screen maybe i have the feeling taht it laggs because th screen loads slow?? i play in highest resolution i think it is 1600X....X32

It's your version of GTA: San Andreas.. nothing else can explain your lag, I guess..

I suggest you 'get' another one. ;)

For SA, remove frame limiter... if your computer freezes outside of the game, you should contact your local computer geek, or the store you bought the computer from.

Only SA works bad? Remove frame limiter and adjust the resolution to fit your screen / computer.

You dont even need 12 GB RAM since NONE OPERATING SYSTEM SUPPORTS UP TO 12 GB RAM and cannot use it 100% Also, agree with IcyAero, the GPU is BOTTLENECK beside to other components.

Firstly, 12Gb of RAM is Recognisable due to the x64 Operating System, he even said in the first post. Windows Vista Ultimate x64 can support up to 128Gb of Ram.

Secondly, the ATi Graphics Card actually scores higher than its nVidia counterpart, ATi4650 - 9600GT, They are around the same speed, and it will not bottleneck at all.

Lots of people think Intel is better than AMD, Hell, I was an intel man for years, but I have now used AMD in 2 different machines (That includes ATi Graphics) and it has been no different, if not a little faster than all my intel machines.

AMD Processors are capable of a higher calculations per nanosecond. Don't take your personal opinions into other peoples topics, AMD and Intel are Both very good brands, they are all made of plastic and metal.

The Computer samiir got is fine.

Shaun

PS, I never included a possible solution. Disabling the Frame Limiter would most likely make a difference, also, the Operating System could be responsible, make sure you have Vista SP1 installed or XP SP2 if its XP Pro x64 (SP3 Doesn't work with XP Pro x64 so don't even argue)

Your video card sucks... ATI HD 4650 lags in GTA:IV, it has 128-bit memory width (or however it's spelt), which means it cannot handle big resolutions.. Try change 1024x768(x32)
+ Too much RAM may slow down your motherboard.. But not so much
