I have a Windows XP ISO on my pc, I want to make a bootable CD, but I don't know how, I tryed using a normal CD-R, copied the files to it, then I tryed booting my PC from the CD, but it won't work, what can I do?
-
well if you are using nero burning rom just select make bootable, not normal cd-r
-
and make sure in BIOS that drive is on boot mode

From what I read you just extracted the files there.
(( Download Ultra ISO and Burn the files on the cd))
If that's not the case
Just download Unetbootin. Select your ISO then select the USB Flash drive you want it on and that should fix it.

I use ImgBurn.

If file is .iso, just use WinRAR to extract it and install from Windows.

First of all, Fabio wants a BOOTABLE CD...
-
Then why is my Windows 7 running?
Windows 7 Has a different installation system
Windows 7 ((When installed from windows)) installs the full thing without having to restart
As in windows XP you have to restart your pc and it starts a whole other App on start up wich will fail because the files are misisng ((UN-Reachable))
I'm a Certified Computer Engineer I know what i'm talking about :P

Windows 7 needs restart too..
But yeah, bootable cd, use ISOBurner, IF the file is .iso :)
