Hello there,
Since a few months I got internet from another provider, named 'Ziggo' Dutch people probably know this one ;)
This never really bothered me, since we would just shut down my mums BitComet downloads and everything would be fine, but it's kind of bothering me atm.
Anyway, the problem that I'm having is that when my mum begins downloading using BitComet, I lose my connection. Then I regain my connection, and this continues untill the downloads are stopped.
The setup is like this:
The modem is connected to the router (Sitecom WL-173). My computer is connected to the router with a wire. But my mums computer is connected to the router using the wireless connection.
The whole thing is ADSL.
Also, the ports on my mums BitComet are forwarded to port 13000. If that helps any..
I hope someone can help me with this :)

Dont know much about routers and internet connections, but perhaps it's using the same port and "BitComet" kinda sets it to prority and stops your connection?

The what is using the same port as what? :|
Seriously, if you don't know shit about it. Don't bother posting please.

I think that Bitcomet download software just use all of the ADSL ports aviable and block any attempting connection to any port that it uses...
It should be the problem because all of this torrent downloading software just pisses me off.
Try t specify the used ports in Bitcomet's options manually and uncheck the automatic option or something like that.
I hope this suggestion provided some help...

Solved the problem indeed, I hooked my mum up with BitTorrent instead of BitComet. All works fine now, even the speeds went up.
She's not downloading programs, or games. But StarTrek/Stargate episodes..

Some important information.
When your mom using a P2P program, then it means she is downloading AND uploading.
With experience with my own dad and with out bittorrent.
When the upload speed goes higher, you start to lag.
When the upload speed is till the maximum, I cannot connect.
One simple option is, just limit here maximum upload speed in BitTorrent.
The reason for this is, that in an online game there will be packages send and you receive them.
As your mother's upload is at the top, then she you don't have any space anymore to send them to server, to let them send it back to you and give you some action.
If no action taken for some seconds, or when samp sees you dont have send packages as you normally does.
It thinks the connection is refused.
Thats why you get that message
Good luck mike
