San Andreas Volunteer Fire Department
--------------------------------
Never really wanted to be a Fireman for a career? Not a problem!
We are a team of Volunteers, who respond to the station or the scene (on duty) when a call comes out. All Volunteers are given a pager (CB Radio), and will be toned out when a call for service comes.
What do we do?
We, as Volunteers, respond to the station for a fire engine for fire calls, or personal vehicle to medicals and/or fires when there is no engine available.
All Volunteers must respond to the station to go on duty for FIRE calls.
Speeding is legal for emergency purposes, if pulled over, STOP! Tell them who you are, and what you're doing. This Volunteer Department ONLY permits speeding if you're going to the station first.
How do I know if I am being paged for a call?
Your CB radio channel (if you use it) and your Ventrilo will alert you of the call.
Your CB will give you the incident number, and the time of call, while your tones and address information will be played over Ventrilo.
But I am on duty as a Police Officer/Medic/Taxi Driver/Criminal
That is fine, you can either choose to ignore the call, or go. That is the benefit of being a Volunteer! You don't have to respond! You can respond already if you are on duty as a Police Officer, Medic, or Fireman. It's actually your job in that job to do so, anyway!
What do I do when I am paged?
You will respond to the station in your area, or for the area where the call is coming out of, and pick up a Fire Engine, or an Ambulance... Please wait at least 30 seconds for someone else to arrive. When the 2nd Volunteer Arrives, or you've waited out your patience, respond. You do NOT have to go on duty as a medic or fire fighter, only if you want to drive, as per the script.
What do I do when I get the engine
If no one else typed into the CB or said on Ventrilo that they were responding, then go.
What do I do when I get on scene?
Inform on Ventrilo and CB that you're at scene, and deal with the situation, be sure to give a situation update on /e, or if you're off duty, /cb so it can be relayed.
Will I have to buy a CB Radio?
No, if you cannot afford it on your own, I will reimburse you for the cost. I am not made out of money, though, so if you can afford it, get it.
How do I use Ventrilo?
You will need to contact me in PM for the IP and your login password.

For Medical Responses, volunteers do not need to go on duty, or respond to the station as long as a paramedic is coming.
For Fire Responses, volunteers do not need to go on duty, or respond to the station if an Engine is not available, as long as an Engine is en route.
