Hello..
As subject say, buying a notebook!
DDR3 Ram, and Nvida, is the most important thing's it shall have.
Most likely a notebook from ASUS!
And not a home-made PC please!
Price doesnt matter.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for reading.

I Love the Design! :wow:
But not worth to buy DDR2 Ram ;) Better with DDR3 these days :)
-
If you have a great budget :)
http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668248.php
It has a Quad Core processor.
nVidia 9800M (Mobile) with 1GB of GDDR3 memory.
4 GB's of DDR3 RAM (Dual channel, meaning 2 sticks of 2GB)
17'' screen.
500GB HDD.
And even an integrated webcam :D
This costs alot of cash though..

I can afford it, no problem ;)
But can't see anything special on it beside specs.. Design aint that cool tho.
I was thinking about the next ASUS Lamborghini; VX5... Love everything on it, but price... Guess the price will be x2 what that PC costs. Also aint released yet :(
But any other suggestions ?

Alienware :)
http://www.alienware.com/products/area-51-m15x-notebook.aspx?SysCode=PC-LT-AREA51M15X-AI1&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT
I've seen better looking ones, with better specs. But this one is a beauty with it's luminating keyboard.
Anyway, search around for yourself. You seem quite the lazy type..

You will not lagg at all with that!

Well, alienwares are very expensive, and they make a LOT of money off you.
I don't recommend them.. D:
-
If I were lazy I wouldnt have made this topic from the beginning ;)
Just not fun to buy something, and the next day everyone say that it was dumb of me to buy..
Alienware huh ? M17 is better than M15? But 17 inch is quite big ? :wow:
-
Nah, nvm. As Wash said, to much money goes off with that Alienware... Anything else to suggest ?
-
I just got a HP pavilion dv6 Laptop
- AMD Turion x2 2.2GHz
- 4Gb DDR2 (I OC'ed to 1066 but it's 800 at factory default)(DDR2 is actually better for the price than DDR3, the only difference is the speed and slot type, which won't make any difference to playing speed.)
- ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4650 1Gb GDDR3 (Scores a higher FPS than the 9800M)
- 320Gb HDD (You can easily upgrade to a 500, 750 or higher HDD pretty cheaply)
All in All, It Kicks arse on GTA IV (All Medium) (can play on all High, but it lags a bit when you blow lots of shit up)
Only $1599 Australian Dollars, With a 5 Year Warranty. HP pavilion dv6.

My sister have a HP notebook.. It's design get's really boring after a short time, also almost every single HP notebook looks the same ;)
-
And why the hell do you need DDR3?
-
DDR3 is much better than DDR2 :)

DDR3 is much better than DDR2 :)
It's sligtly faster, perhaps. But comparing it's price : performance ratio, it's not worth it..

Probaly...
I Would like to ask if someone could rate this processor for me (just from 1-10): Intel® Core™ 2 Extreme X9000 2.8GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB).
How would you leave a comment on such processor ?

As it's the fastest notebook processor currently available on the market, I'll rate it a 9/10 ;)
Only slurps up 44 watts and gives maximum power! Miauw :)

512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 3600M is worth to buy ?
-
No, as the Quadro series is not designed for Gaming. You will find it has a lot of Graphics Memory, but the GPU Clock Speed will be pretty hopeless (500Mhz or Lower)
If you are thinking GTA IV, Crysis or any other similar game, go for either the ATi Mobility Radeon 4600 Series or Higher, OR the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT or 9650M GT.
:) Good Luck on your search for a Notebook, and remember, its Specs that matter, not appearance

The Lamborghini notebook's is damn expensive, and they doesnt even have such good specs tho :conf:

2GB Ram is nothing.
16 inch is quite big.
Processor is a big
GPU seems .

Notebook* pl0x :D

Hmm.. I think I'll go after the Alienware m15x.. Only thing that bugs me, is their graphic cards, as I got to choose one from their site.
Those three:
512MB ATI Mobility Radeonâ„¢ HD 3870
512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GT
512MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 3600M
All sux, right?
-
Don't take HD 3870, all powers are gone if AA turned on.

I guess none of those 3 is worth to buy ?

From my point of view - none if worth shit.
Will try to contact Alienware to add a "None" option at the graphic card menu
We'll see how that will go

Then get yourself a desktop, notebooks are not ment for gaming in the first place..
You are not getting a notebook with a better graphic card than the 9800M GT, so good luck with that.

Dual 512MB ATI Mobility Radeonâ„¢ HD 3870 - CrossFireXâ„¢ Enabled! pwns!!
