Emm how can i run GTA SA on VISTA? :?: :(
-
yes you can, im runing on vista 64bit, just be sure to set both gta_sa and samp compatibility to win 98

I play SA:MP most of the time on my laptop, and it's 64bit and running Windows Vista, it works fine before I even ran it in compatibility mode, and once I did run in, in compatibility mode set to Windows XP, it worked a little better.
And isn't there a support section for this? Or maybe that's just hardware. . . .

Oh yeah

What is the benifit of putting gta_sa.exe on 98 compatibility, because I only use it on samp.exe (I leave gta_sa.exe on default) and it seems to work okay?

If you don't put in on 98, when you try and close the SA:MP window, you'll get message box spam. There was some other problem I think, but I don't remember what it was.

To fix the error spam you can download the SAMP 0.2x U1 update.

Me to. I have no problems runing samp on vista.

Seeing as I don't need to worry about the popup spam any more, I tried playing without any compatibility set for samp.exe and gta_sa.exe and they seem to work fine. Moreover, I can actually see my system temperatures when I play now (I use RivaTuner and Everest). I figure that setting on compatibility mode blocked the on screen display for the temperatures.
