Last night i had my first experience of bent cops camping in the cells stealing my suspects when i bring them in.
There is nothing more frustrating than chasing a suspect halfway accross the map arresting them, getting them all the way back to the PD only for people to hang about in the cells and ready to hit /jail id ..
There is not a lot of money to be made being a cop :cop: so when you work really hard for your $300 jailing fee and someone steals it it is not a nice experience.
I dont expect this is a reportable offence but it is bad RP and selfish and lazy.
is there anything we can do to stop this?
i have noticed that this is mainly in los santos pd as it is the bussiest area, so one point i guess is to take your suspect to a quieter PD.
Is there any other suggestions of how we can fix this, as it happened to me twice last night and i just wanted to put a bullet in the cops head. :war:
to top it all off i went and sat at my desk in pd and the cop in question came over and stomped me to death. :hit:
for this he obviously got reported.
can people caught repeatedly doing this be banned from being cop?

-
report them in.
-
Just report them to admins, using /report id stealing suspects by jailing them.
Or get an admin to spectate the player who is stealing jailings.
-
Ye, I hate that too... :poke:
-
Jail in FBI office or SA Backup Unit HQ then.
-
I wasnt aware this is a reportable offence?
also how do you tell which cop did it? sometimes there were 3 or 4 cops down there and all it says is suspect already in jail or something similar.
is there a command to see who jailed them?
Thanks,
-
I believe there is something showed when a suspect is jailed. With this you can see who jailed the suspect.
Suspect(x) was jailed by Cop(x) for x seconds
It should be announced when a suspect is jailed. Correct me if I am wrong.
-
Heh, I believe, others should not be able to jail suspect if you have cuffed him. Anyway, stealing suspects can cause not only ban from cop duty, it can cause normal ban :)
-
if he is a cadet or higher you can report him at
www.arpd.argonathrpg.com
but if it was a freeco use /report id reason if he is stealing your jails
-
Thanks,
I think i was being ignorant Malcolm i think your right it does flash up with who jailed them.
i will now report any freecops who steal my jails, if everyone does this it should deter people in the future.
regarding people can only jail when they have cuffed the suspect, this should be the case but what often happens is you cuff them and somehow they become uncuffed.
does anyone know why this happens.
i know they autofollow when they are cuffed, but i think maybe if you walk to far away from them then they become uncuffed.
can anyone confirm?
-
I know what you mean there ,it is bloody annoying , You just earned your self a criminal and a lousy cop comes along and nicks suspect from you....
-
Yeh, if the cuffed suspect goes to far away from you he becomes uncuffed but is frozen until someone cuffs him again.
-
Thanks for the clarification Jonny
-
The suspect doesn't auto-move
If cop stole suspect if u already cuffed him, might be a bug?
-
Ok
so the cuffed suspects do not auto-move and they have to follow you?
This is what i had thought at first however they seem to float after you once cuffed which made me wonder.
however that does explain why some people just dont follow.
and then it ends up with about 10 cops trying to cuff them.
although this is not the same as camping in the cells, it is still annoying, i had a suspect in my car yesterday and ended up with 4 cop cars trying to get me to pull over.
and then ramming me.
all the time i was shouting leave me im cop, this is my sus!!!!
cops just go after suspects and it turns into a free for all.
-
ROFL!
Sound fun, I can imagine that and ur face, lol!
:cop:

This is actually a bannable offense, let an admin see it and you're gone.
-
Instant ban, easily.
-
But thing is. you only see people get instant ban for hacking thats the problem. They said you cant do something but they dont enforce it , My suspects have been stolen many times and i report to admins and nothing happens..... and im sure this happens to others to. Its a rule that needs to be enforced apon
