Title: Buying your first business
Post by: ijustatemystash on June 15, 2009, 06:52:42 pm
Would like some information for new users wanting to start up their own business.

i know you can get 300000k loan from the bank.

Is it right that players need to have enough cash for the business upfront before they can purchase, so the loan is actually not that great.
or am i missing something, as someone was trying to explain to me about value and cost.
does a business have 2 costs?
how can new players start up their own business?

i have a small ammount of cash (not much :( ) and have taken a loan of  300,000 but i am still unable to buy anything as it says i do not have enough cash.

have already had people trying to scam me and sell me unowned businesses so can someone please explain the right methods for all new players who are unsure.

Thanks,

Get enough cash so that, if you add your cash to the 300k loan, you will have enough for the unowned/owned business.

If the business is owned, you may have to pay the owner so they sell it to you.

You can make money in three ways with businesses.

1) People enter your business and buy things inside it using the /buy script (like in ammunations, /giveweapon), you will receive the entrance fee.
2) People enter your business and roleplay buying things inside from you, using /send and /wire and /me, you will receive the money that the customer sends to you.
3) Sell the business for more than you bought it.

Once your business is out of stock, you will have to restock, and this will cost half of your total profit, which means, for example, say you own a 24/7 with an entrance fee of, lets say $100 (Starting with full - 1000 stock), you will have to pay $50k to restock, and you will keep $50k for yourself as profit, and people may enter your business a maximum of a thousand times, script will not count stock reduction if you, the owner goes inside and outside the business.

After some time, you will have to pay back the loan to the script.

If anyone tries to scam you, please take screenshots, and note the time of the attempted scam, and include them in your report of the incident in your email to [email protected] (http://[email protected]).

If you have any more questions, please post afterwards, good luck.

Thanks but i found a business for sale unowned for 125,000 and i couldnt buy it.

i would have thought if i have the loan then i would be able to buy it.
I did think that this could be a house rather than a business but it was in a row of businesses.

if it was a business for 125k shouldnt i have been able to buy it with the loan?

if this isnt a business and was a house, then where can i find unowned busineses as i have searched everywhere and found nothing?

Huh? if you /loan, you wont loose money, but as new scripts are here, i believe you have to pay it back in a month.

It was a house, not a business in that case.

The cheapest business is around 250-275k afaik

/loan is only for buisnesses, not houses. I believe you are looking at a house in this case... as it has an extremely low value.
