Hey guys ..... I need some help :/ , Yesterday (( Tuesday )) i was on a FBI training, Winters can confirm ... so i played like 35 mins and suddently my pc freezed .... i sayed ok .. its a freeze no worries , i restarted the PC and then this shit came up
(http://g.imagehost.org/0145/DSC00011_2.jpg)
After some thinking , i decided to reinstall the operating sistem .... so i reinstalled the sistem , that lines at the startup screen was still there, i installed the motherboard drivers, AND after i installed the video card drivers a second problem came ... After i installed the video card drivers i wasnt able to enter on windows anymore and after the loading screen with the WIndows logo , this shit came trough:
.....after this "thing" came ... the monitor auto-shuts down ...
.....and i dont have any other choise just to restart my pc ... And if you restart it again , you get the same problem. So i had to enter on safe mode , unistall the video driver ... and now i can enter on windows once again .... but the problem is i dont have a video driver atm and the pc is laggy like hell, when im browsing on the internet ....
Personally i think the problem is from the videocard .... but i wanna hear you're opinions .... dont really know what do to now :/
Heres also a video with the problem: [yt=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtJQbWhgNfM&feature=channel_page[/yt]

Welcome to ATi.. now do you see why I do not like them?..
I'll edit this post/add another one when I find a possible solution. :)

I had something similiar... my PC hung up one time and after a reset all the screen was bushy. I turned off the PC for a minute or two and then restarted it. And the problem seemed to disappear.
My card is a GeForce FX5200 Ultra if you're wondering.

It is the video card issue. Sometimes they overheat. I had a 16 mb card once without a heatsink, after playing GTA III for a few hours, it failed and would show weird lines and stuff.

As this has happened to me and friends on game consoles (playing GTA IV with the 360 on a rug, not a smart idea Ty), the GPU is dying. Let it cool off, check for dust, and clean it. Wait a whole day, and make sure your pc is cool, then turn it on. And regulate your playing times ffs.

Guys i dont think this problem is from overheating ..... cuz i let i checked the GPU temperature and its normaly .... also when that happend i turned off the pc for some good hours and still no effect

It's either your video card or monitor. I think monitor is still in problem with here.
What i advise is to send the computer to service. If no problems found, monitor too. The IF is still unlikely, but if there's really no problems...

lol , im playing 2-3 hours per day , and that game is GTA SA .... because this old pc diddnt supports new games .... and i played just 30-35 mins before this mega crash happend, Winters knows the story because i was with him IG .... so i dont think if its overheating , but defenetly something is wrong ...

if that lines was from the monitor , i think that lines had persisted on the operating sistem also ....

Problem solved, the video card is f*ked up .... I will wait till saturday , and i will install that new pc of mine

Not all hope is lost actually. Try booting in safe mode, Update Drivers to older newer try some new drivers if that works then that's that. if it doesn't then you tried.
Source: Happened to my old N9600GT

As he told in the WShadows Forums, he asked from his friend 6600 GT (That friend also had it) and he plugged in his friends' videocard, and it worked fine. So it still was broken videocard.

Pedo, the N9600 models where very easy to get overheat.
Brainiac, what is your graphic card?
As this is a graphics card issue and seems to be overheat yes.
To be honest, I also think it's just broken.
As I got the same...

The N9600 Is indeed easy to over heat with the Stock coolers :)
I Had ordered a special cooler for that very video card and the problem happened so I just updated drivers and it worked but then messed up for ever :( So that's why i'm telling him to try updating T3h Drivars

its good that youre getting a new system and all but AMD and ATI.. -.- WHY!!! AMD are BAD, so is ATI :rules:
-
thats you're opinion ... :)
-
AMD isn't bad they make great products :) I personally have a custom built AMD PC ;) Works great AMD & Logitech

Iv had three computers in the last 5 years,
first had an intel processor, loads of problems, second computer had an intel dual core, arife with problems, new computer, had it for 6 monthes, AMD quad core Phenon, no issues what so ever,
Saying all AMDs are bad is like saying all Fiats are economy cars because theyv made a few.
-
It has nothing to do with ATI..
Check your video cable for physical damage. Replug it in.
Otherwise, its broken. There is no soulution :|
Having errors in the startup screens before drivers are loaded, is a 100% Physical Damage issue.

wat.
Sorry mom. For like 3 years, I have been (ab)using this PC by playing for massive hours, yet this PC is still clean, works like new :D - No this PC doesnt have ultimate technology n shizz.
Sickness is right. Those lines at the monitor are definitely a physical issue.
