I just had an idea to make the effect of taking drugs a bit better. You know in GTA: VC, there are some drug icons dotted around the place. They look like small tablets. If you take one of those, everything goes in slow motion and almost dizzingly for some time before it goes back to normal. If we could get that animation for everytime you take a drug (or a few drugs continously), it might be quite effective.

I believe that will cause a lot of desync, difficulty in shooting, etcetera. Sorry but I don't support this one. It's better to keep the animation effects based in animations and hp gain/loss.

this can only be done in 0.4.
also, the slow motion is only for one guy, all else see him moving at normal pace

Oh, right then. That way it would be nice to have the slow motion effect for drugs, of course.  :D

Well in real live that happens it is for only the person to have fun.And to make the other persons can see he is druged

Sorry but the best we can do is just Animations, the slow motion effect IS available via Pickup but that means when you take say Weed i'd have to spawn a pickup on your position so you walk right into it but that in my view would look lame.  0.4 will bring alot more possiblities for us.

Still I think drugs should give you health. ATM its even.
Upside is: You get health
Downside is: Your constantly made doing these animations, which puts you off a lot if your fighting or escaping from police

How about uh.. we just give you / take health from you instead.

Yea, of course, the animation will only be seen by the player taking the drug.
This just adds more effect. If it only lasted for a few seconds, but you got a health increase/decrease it might work.
If it's too complex, I don't expect it. No worries.  :D

Lol what the hell has Cheese Pizza got to do with Drugs?
There is a smaller Food system available but i've limited it to certain locations like Robina's, Biker Bar and Ocean View Hotel.

Alrighty then. I was just thinking, if there was the cheese pizza that gave me 80hp, why would I bother with drugs

imo, drugs should always give HP.

Drugs will kill you sometime, so randomly gaining/losing HP would be great.

But you have to take in Daddy's point.
If there is a chance of decrease in health, why are you going to use them.
Also even more of, why would you buy them, apart from RP opportunitys ofc

Drugs have side effects, so put down a minor chance to lose HP and a major chance of gaining HP, like 90/10 or something, and it would either give/lose less or more HP. Like !takedrugs then I gain 10 hp the first time, 13hp the second time, 8hp the third time, then I lose 5hp at the fourth time, etc.

Also, if it's going to be based in HP loss/gain only, why there's just 'Drugs' and 'Food' so you buy them, use them and RP whatever is the drug/food you are consuming? People will also just buy the food that will heal more and leave the ones that heal less behind.

Like !takedrugs then /me smokes some weed or !takedrugs then /me swallows a LSD pill.

Yea, now itself it is hard to get people to buy drugs for RP. If they had something more to them, they may be more popular. Yea, if there's say a 70% chance the drug will have a positive effect and a 30% chance to have a negative impact, it may work.

There was only going to be Weed and Heroin. People wanted others so I'm not sure whats going to happen
