Hitman - The best 3rd person/FPS (First Person Shooter) game.
The series of the games started when Eidos first made Hitman - Codename 47, The game wasnt so bad, and more people started buying it.
After that Eidos(R) Thought about continuing the series and making the second game - Hitman 2 : Silent Assassin.
And so people started to buy the game, beacuse it was so epic, and they were interested in what will happen in the next game in the series, Then the 3rd game in the series came out - Hitman Contracts - this is a game that i played on PC, its very easy to pass, and really interesting gameplay altough Eidos could make more levels to the game, or at least make something like add-on maps, missions, etc.
And finnaly - the 4th and newest game in the series: Hitman : Blood Money!
This game was a hit when it first came out, all hitman fans stormed the stores, i played this game on ps2, its very short but it has a very logic story line - with real weapons, physics and smarter AI!
What's the next 5th game in the series that we all will storm at?
What will 47 do after Diana betrayed him?
Will there be somebody new that will cooperate with 47?
And most important: When will eidos release this game???????

I think maybe in 2010
-
Same.
Andy, changed name from Xaviera already?
And, rumours tell that the other game will be called Hitman: Hired gun.
-
AT LEAST 2015...

i've heard there's another one in the make, Not by eidos tough. And not a hitman serie, a complete new game.

Hitman is not a freaking FPS, its a goddamn stealth game. I got through Blood Money (normal difficulty) without firing a gun ONCE

Well, it's still a FPS. It's first person, and if you like, you can shoot people. In the face.

If I HAD to kill a person with a firearm, I did it in 3rd person, 2 bullets in the head, no enjoyment whatsoever.

I completed a lot of missions with silent assassin rating, on all I made most look like a suicide or accident of some kind but after doing this for a while I found that I don't get the same satisfaction as using my firearm. Although it makes sense that suicide and an accident would look in real life like a more professional hit it just doesn't feel right unless I use my silenced silverballer.
I just love the feeling when a guy goes for a smoke on a balcony and you fire a shot into the back of his head with a silenced type 2 without even giving him the chance to turn around or realise what was happening, watching his body slide off the balcony by letting the force of the bullet to hide the body. That's what I love about this game and I hope never changes - that there are so many options to kill someone so that people can take on their own style and be creative.
Once I shot someone with a silenced sniper while he was walking out of a room, I had researched that the room was only ever inhabited by that guard. By doing it at that precise moment the bullet forced the body back into the room and the door closed by itself, leaving him to be hidden inside it. The cops, who were just around the corner didn't even bat an eyelid because of my vantage point and because of the advanced silencer. I love it.

That had to look leet.
Hitman is cool, I like games where you have to be sneaky. Though I prefer Project IGI over this.

I don't like Hitman cause it is too linear and is basically about changing outfit through the levels. It's like a dress-up game.
Splinter Cell is a better stealth game.

Hitman is about using your environment as cover, interactive. You dress him up in order to gain acces to a particular area without problems etc.

How? Apart from the changing customs splinter cell uses everything better.
But I like Hitman, the problem is that in most missions, you have to do spy stuff that a Hitman shouldn't be doing. And in most cases that stuff invalidates the use of the sniper which should be a the easier choice of weapon.
My point is that Hitman doesn't let you be invisible like splinter cell does. In every hitman level that I played(Contracts and Blood Money) I had to expose 47. Even if he's using a custom he's still expose.

You can perfectly play a mission without getting exposed, however the best options are hard to discover so the mission can be done different ways.. you can snipe, poison, throw your enemy off a cliff, blow them up... that's all up to your actions.

I successfully sneaked by a lot of guards by observing their routes etc. It took a long time though.
Well, this is about all Hitman games so... I loved the mission in Hitman 2 where you had to snipe someone during a meeting. That felt like a true assasination.
