I did a fresh install on a new 320 GB Hard Disk Drive, and everything worked fine.
I played GTA San Andreas a lot since the new install, I have the downgrade, no cd crack, and Argonath Sheriff's Division vehicles and siren mod. It all worked fine, and then this morning I tried to play and it would freeze at "Welcome to Argonath RPG" at the Vinewood sign.
The only changes I made since then were installing my external hard drive auto-backup program, and Fraps Registered. I uninstalled Fraps, and closed the autobackup program. Now, it still freezes, but I am able to hit the windows key, right click GTA San Andreas, and exit the program, and clicking End Now.
What's going on? It worked fine when I went to bed!

- Remove mods
- Reinstall GTA
- Reinstal SA:MP
Tried any of this?
Or it can be a bugged house/bizz,, :)

Tried reinstalling SAMP - Same results.
Reinstalling GTA/Mods won't work, because it was working fine.
The ONLY changes I made between last time I played, and now, is installing my external HDD and Fraps, of which I uninstalled Fraps, and unloaded the external's autobackup program.

Tried to uninstall GTA San Andreas, got the following error:
"An error has occured while running the setup"
"Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications."

Cannot delete the GTA San Andreas folder: Access is Denied.
I'm stuck, without the game, and nothing else to do.

If you get that error, do this:
1. Ctrl+Shift+Esc and check if a process "gtasa.exe" is running (press the 'g' key to find the first thing starting on 'g' in the list)
try again.
if that fails,
2. Restart Windows
try again.

Wait for next server restart, after it have, you can join.

After reinstalling the game, it now crashes at half-loading, both single player and samp.
The only mods installed are no-cd, downgrade, and samp.

Did you try reinstalling the game again?

Yep. I just reinstalled everything. including the whole Windows XP and hard drive.
Started fresh, it works now! What a surprise! Haven't tried to check SAMP yet.

I have had almost every problem with GTA SAMP -.- also this one that my game was screwed, I also couldn't delete the GTA folder and the Game
Eventually I have done search in C drive, and typed GTA San Andreas, I deleted every GTa sa File that had been found... I deleted SAMP, SAMI, etc, also deleted the Gta sa user file in my documents
Then i reinstalled everything, and game worked again.

Ok, apparently, what worked was single player.
SAMP is still not working. Still freezes at "Welcome to Argonath RPG"

Starting to get REAL frustrating. No one on the SAMP forums will help me with my SAMP related issue.
I will never get to play on Argonath again unless this is fucking fixed.
The problem is SAMP - Single player and debug works fine. I tried other servers, same results.

Try changing the combability modes? (probably won't work, but it's worth the try)

Reformatted. Finally works.
