I don't PR or advert or so, but i think this may come in-handy: http://forum.sa-mp.com/index.php?topic=104758.0
Sprunk Buster is the latest attempt to block known cheaters from SA-MP.
It works by having a blacklist of known cheaters, flooders and hackers.
The installation of Sprunk Buster only takes a few minutes and will most certainly block a lot of cheaters.
I think it's a good way to stop most of cheaters to come on Argonath, and make less work to admins and concentrate on rulebreakers!
Only two quetions:
1) How is it compatible with our scripts.
2) Will it cause even more lag.
What do you think, developers?
-
i think we would oh had all the known cheaters on anyways.. and i think our admin scripts are very good anyways.. but it might be something to look into
-
Sprunkbuster is a play on Punkbuster.
Punkbuster is a pile of crap.
Yea..
"Known cheaters".... no thanks. Our admins are the best on SA-MP, they can handle it. :D

Yeah, it must be a good feeling to know that the administration has banned so many people, without trying to change them instead of banning them.
On the idea; nah, not needed.

Huh? :trust:

Huh? :trust:
yeah i don't understand what your saying aswell ?

I do not think that it would work well. For an e.g. sometimes after a crash, player armour source is unknown, its mostly then, when armour is issued. And what's then? Player would be automatically banned? Lol..

No.
Only certain selected servers are allowed to ban with the "sprunkbuster" feature and they have to sign some stupid agreement... and then once they are banned on one of these selected servers every server with the Sprunkbuster feature they cant access

Huh? :trust:
I meant that the administration can't feel too good about banning so many people, when some of them could be good players?

I agree

Guess why we have the unban section....
Those who want to change are given a chance.
And the /ron command works in only 25% of the time, so not many cheaters are prepared to shut down their hacks
-
if Sprunk Buster is installed ... bye bye argonath :(
i am blacklisted

25% of the banned players are willing to remove the hacks. So, 25% of the players are possibly good Argonath players.. that would mean something like 500 players.

A valid point, but what I am trying to get to is more chance in the immediate ways.
I think a straight ban for hackers is a little harsh.. I suggest instead of banning first, a kick. If they return with the hacks they should be perm banned.
