[AV]Melvin was banned for attempts to get the admins passwords by using MSN trojan...
To those who have MSNs...
There are a lot of trojans that are running through MSNs...
Please, do not click at every link you've been sent... Even with any types and forms of logs... From bot logs like "LOL Look at that!" --> link, to the dialog with anyone who wants to "send you a file to download"...
We know cases when people who were using the programs for sending you a virus were covering themselves as "SA:MP developer who came to Argonath to check the work"...
If anyone sends you a link - first inform him "You have a virus"... So that the sender will take actions to get rid of it... He should know that his computer sent a virus...

Dont accept anything... It will probably a slideshow or a picture with .exe format...

What makes them do it? They are power hungry, that's what... I never expected anything better from [AV]Melvin or whatever, always been like that.
Please pay attention in anti-hacks class and do not click random bullshit people send you on MSN, only trust the most trusted in such messangers...

That's just poor.
They can't really get away, so why try risking their computer in the first place?
Even if they are successful, they won't know what to do until they figure things out, by which time they will be stopped.

The guy who cheated millions from bug abuse finally gets his final ban. I would hate to see him back in the community, he is a let down for us, and probably one of the ones which makes Argonath RPG server look worse than it really is. He was extremely arrogant and thought he was an idol, which he certainly was not, we should remove all of the forms of his existence.

Those of you who got sent the exe, report it to the police. It is ILLEGAL in most EU countries, the US, Canada and Ireland to send trojans to people.

At the time he cheated money he was caught and banned for extended time, that is soemthing he has left behind him.
As for the current problem, we will check if it was something done in a wave of bad judgement, or that it was truly meant to cause an attack.
Its up to Melvin to convince us of what really happened.

Melvin is an one of a kind player, when there were bugs, he exploited them, although that was before, with Melvin the thing is, if he gets caught he quits it, I know Melvin well enough IRL to know that he did NOT have any intentions on hacking Argonath RPG and it admins, simply because he is too smart to do that.
If you hack the Argonath RPG Admins what happens? Simple, logs and ip check = instant ban, Melvin wouldn't do that.
Melvin was sober over several months from bug-abusing, although still in-game people were referring to him as "betty" "cheater" etc etc, this might have changed his view of look to this community, although I know that deep in Melvin's heart his intentions were NOT to hack this community.

I have got these sorts of links from aragorn himself on his hotmail. (Was a long time ago, he don't have the virus anymore)
Better yet, only trust links that you are supposed to get from a friend and that you have talked with your friend about reciving the link, but only if you trust him/her.
A short dummy guide:
*in 99% of all cases, the one who sent you the link will log out almost instantly after you recived the link
*Common messages are: LOL look at this funny picture of you, Hey look at this, Look at me after my semester,
among other innocent words.
Use the above to judge the message, and of course common sense.

I never liked Melvin, I didn't like him for abusing the buisness bugs that he exploited to cheat money. I honestly find no reason for anyone to defend Melvin, even NitrOx who is his real life best friend or something.

Was banned by FlameMan for ban evading ingame, after he was speaking to me in PM about how sorry he is on 'Redcat' name.
I hope you are not just speaking nice to me just because I am on /admins, and that you are genuinely sorry, because you said in PM that you saw what I wrote about you, and it made your eyes open, although 'I'm forum banned and cant post in the topic' from Jserg's shows that somewhere, you could have even been forum ban evading.
