Title: MTA:VC or/and Virus problem
Post by: Janicch on July 22, 2009, 10:27:39 am
Hey, i need your help!  ;)

Yesterday, i wanted to download MTA:VC, but there's a problem. All the time when i download (finish 100%) the client, mozilla and nod32 stops it, mozilla says:

Quote
C:\Documents and Settings\1337\Desktop\MTAInstall05.exe.part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read.
Try again later, or contact the server administrator.

NOD32:
Quote
Threat:
probably a variant of Win32/Obfuscated trojan

Comment:
Event occurred on a file modified by the application C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

I was trying to download the client again via Internet explorer and Opera, both says the same. I just... dont know what to do.

Yes, MTA:VC has a trojan although it does no harm.

Disable your anti-virus while installing MTA:VC.

Once it is installed, add an exclusion zone to the directory of the MTA:VC folder.

Done. :)

Turn off NOD32 while downloading, maybe why Firefox stops the download.

Add MTAInstall05.exe and MTAClient.exe to your anti-virus' white list/exception list/safe list or w/e it's called.

I deleted it lol, i dont need it anyway.

Add MTAInstall05.exe and MTAClient.exe to your anti-virus' white list/exception list/safe list or w/e it's called.

MTAInstall05.exe added to firewall exceptions
