Stunt, never. im not going to try to do jumps like i did in my Vice City Stunt Video - No Reason, but u might see me doing some burnouts or some drifting :lol:

Make sure that you have a LOT of free space for when the car goes out of control. ;)
And tires are not cheap.... so be careful on those burnouts.

If you never tried karting, now is the time. It will teach you some car control without the danger of destroying anything.
Usually I go to an empty parking with a new car and try some 'emergency situations' to understand how the car reacts and what happens when you brake extremely hard or start sliding. Then when it happens in traffic it is easier to keep control as it will not scare you. This saved me on a number of occasions.

*Gandalf who took advanced drivers course in real life but never managed to keep a car in one piece in SA *

I've been go-karting for a while now i get to go once every 2 months with some friends, im good at it i can drive around the corners with out touching the brakes :lol:

Petrol cost is ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚Â¬ 1,50 for 1 litre..... that is why there are not many V8 cars here. :lol:

its about $1.30 - $1.50 a liter over here anyways my car is a V6 :P, V8 are to powerful for when i am on my P plates

i haven't tried to get the top speed yet, i'm only 16 i cant drive by myself yet so i don't think my parents would like me going top speed. i think it is around 200 + km/h

I think the key word where is "Boat". Petey owns a car, not a boat, different engines.

and what are the main differences between boats and cars engine. gears? displacement? fuel?

Post by: Petey on December 01, 2007, 05:36:05 am: well with my car and my boat(my boat is an inboard not outboard)... the only differences are:

theres no gearbox on the boat, it only has forward, neutral and reverse.
the boat engine came from a 1979 Holden V8, so theres not really much difference there
theres less wiring in the boat
theres only about half a meter of exhaust pipe on the boat, so theres no muffler, so its really loud
the boat has been tuned to have high torque as its a ski boat and needs the power to lift "fat" people out if the water.
the fuel is the same, but the boat uses more as its a 5 liter V8 and its mostly being used at high revs..

thats all i can think of atm...

but back to my car. i am thinking of getting this head unit:

question is, do you know what you are doing to get it to sound best?

Also, id you dont get Dynamat, your car/van will sound like a big peice of Rolling ass that rattles
and im pretty sure letting the professional's install the sound system + Dynamat is better than you and your dad doing it...

Generally you use the sub for bass...

The speakers you have around the car are for mids and treble....

Cause without a sub, that radio won't do much to improve the sound(unless you still don't have a radio)

yeah they are the people that have never done it before and dont know shit about it... my dad is a mechanic and knows about about the wiring in the cars... i think we will be fine

LOL, that sucks, building a quality sub will be as expensive as buying one, I've some of those hand build but they suck big time.
And without a Amp, it's impossible to use all the sub's power, not even half.

Thats an "AIXAM", We call those cars "mata-velhos" which means old folks killer. because old folks ride those in the middle of the road.
I friend of mine got is aixam to 80 km/h, that was funny.

no that car u means is what we called "EU-car".. it is not hte same as an "EPA-Tractor" or "A-Tractor"

It can be regular cars with changed engine so the max speedlimit is 33 km/h.. but they often do like 120 km/h or like a real car..

yeah, Becouse its only allowed with one passanger.. (frontseat), so often they are cut off in the back.. looks very ugly i know :P and most of them is pimping it up ;D

well here are some pics:

1. all of the door trim off to put the new speakers in...(that was the easy bit, the thing that took the longest was getting the new wires from the head unit to the amp.

2. my alcheapo amp, i wasnt going to spend an extra $200 on a good amp.. btw this one cost 250 it self

3. the nice new head unit, i finally have a cd player in my car

btw the head unit dose mean a lot in this system, it enables me to have all 4 speakers and a sub(when i get one) i was going to get the other head unit i was looking at i would of had to spend more money to get all 4 speakers and sub(when i get one) to work..

well its a kick arse system and i love it...

and btw cassette have shit sound quality, just to let u know

good point, but an amp will allow you to have more speakers also.
